Luca’s POV I spotted James after some minutes of me waiting downstairs and he jogged up towards me, as soon as his eyes landed on me.“Hey, you hungry?” He asked as soon as he stopped beside me and I rolled my eyes a little.“Of course I am, why else would I have invited you to come eat with me if I wasn’t hungry.” I said to him as we fell into step beside each other as we started to make our way out of the company’s premises, and down the road.“You sure it’s safe to go there without any body guards?” James suddenly spoke up and I glanced at him from the corner of my eyes before nodding my head at him.“Of course, it’s just down the road, is it not? Also, if anything comes up, I don’t think it would be too big for the two of us to handle ourselves.” I said to him with a small shrug of my shoulders.“You’re right, if anything’s going to happen now, it really can’t be that bad, I guess I was just being worried.” James replied and I started to tease him about how he was being such a b
Luca’s POV I think it was pretty stupid for people to sit down and make a plan, and still consent to it, only for it go end up being a really bad idea from the very start. It wasn’t about it being a a flop, it was actuality about the idea being pretty stupid and dumb from the very start… and everyone who had agreed to it in the first place, knew in a part of their mind, that their so call brainstorming had ended up in them coming together to plan a very bad idea, but they had still agreed to go ahead with it either ways. That was pretty stupid to me.I pulled the door open and stepped into the house before pushing the door close behind me and turning the key inside of it. I had arrived home a few minutes ago, without any kind of scratch on any part of my body.Although, I don’t think my car can be able to say the same thing for itself. It was a good thing that my car was bulletproof, along with the glasses, which made it hard for those set of dumb people to be able to get to me who
Luca’s POV I didn’t really know what it was that had woken me up exactly, all I was sure about, was the fact that there was something like a weird noise sounding around me, like it was coming from a spot right beside my head, and that sound had kept increasing and heightening up until it had ended up dragging me right of the deep sleep that I had been in, a close second ago.I blinked my eyes awake and stared up into my roof, my brain lazily finding it hard for me to comprehend what it was that had woken me up in the first place. My brain was working slow at a really bad time, because it took over a minute for me to realize that the sounds which I had been hearing right from my sleep, hadn’t been my imagination, and had been happening in real life, right there beside me on my bed.My eyes widened as my eyes zeroed in on a sobbing Sofia and my heart had a skipped s few heartheats at that very moment, as I pushed myself up into a sitting position.I shifted closer towards her, and slow
Luca’s POV The realization that Sofia was still in my arms, even before I had completely woken up, made me unconsciously tighten my arms around her as I dug my nose into her hair and finally came to reality, the sleep slowly leaving my head and mind. I blinked my eyes open and stared up at the roof for a moment, and I moved my fingers a little through the thick and soft hair which it had been buried in throughout the night, before turning my head around until I was staring at Sofia. Her face looked peaceful, and the traces of tears which could quickly and easily be identified on her cheeks and the trail from the corner of her eyes, down to her ear, made my blood start to boil almost immediately. I wanted to hurt whoever it was that was behind this, and I was definitely going to.I just needed to find out who it was, that was behind it. It's a pity that I have to go to work today, and that I have to arrive at the office early as well, if not… I’d want nothing more than to stay in and
Luca’s POV I arrived at the office and alighted the car as soon as the door got pulled open, and I started to make my way towards the office as soon as possible, a quick glance at my wrist watch showed that the time was some minutes past eight p.m in the morning, and I knew even without getting up to my office yet, that James had already gotten to the office before me, like he had said he was going to do yesterday. It wasn’t like I had planned to arrive here at the office late, it was only because of the whole thing with Sofia that had made me use more than my usual time in bed, coupled with the fact that I had to take a new car here to the office this morning, seeing as my car which I usually take along with me to almost everywhere I go, got really shot at, last night on my way home.I alighted the elevator car and started to make my way towards my office, letting myself into it and as usual, nodding my head at my secretaries who were already there at the office, before making my
Luca’s POV Well, I had after all only brought up the topic about it to him in the first place, because I couldn’t find it in me to touch her, immediately after I had gotten married to her and the whole thing had still kind of overwhelming, coupled with the fact that she had bursted into tears as soon as I had been about to touch her, like I was supposed to in the first place. But then I had only brought it up, because I was still thinking of canceling the whole wedding thing back then. Assuming I had known that I was going to end up finding her adorable and cute and oh so freaking beautiful, I wouldn’t have brought the topic up with him in the first place. “What do you mean it’s none of my business?” I heard James start to ask but I didn’t bother to turn around and glance at him before replying to him once again.“It meant whst it meant.” I replied in a low voice, my lips going into a thin line almost immediately.“You definitely finally had sex with you, you fucker, so that’s wh
Luca’s POV “Nothing, never mind about that, just ignore that.” I breathed out with another lift of my shoulders, right before I turned my head around to stare at James, and I got greeted with a scowl on his face which he aimed at me.“What?” I demanded with an eye roll.“You can’t just leave me hanging, the fuck?” He demanded and I scoffed absent mindedly.“It’s not important, just let it go.” I said to him with a small chuckle and I watched as he looked me up and down before also starting to speak. “If it wasn’t, you sure as hell wouldn’t have brought it up.”“Well, I’m saying it isn’t important anymore, so it’s either you let it go, or you deal with it and try to figure it out yourself.” I said to him in a calm voice and watched as he stared at me unbelievably for a few seconds before finally letting out a small sigh.“You fucker.” He breathed out and I breathed out a short laugh.“So, you going to tell me what made you arrive late to the office?” I heard James start to ask once a
Luca’s POV I pushed the door closed behind me as soon as I had made my way into the house and I pulled the door shut, as I pushed my way away from the door and started to make my way deeper into the house. I paused at the middle of the hallway and toed off my shoes, before moving the shoes to the side of the hallway, and continuing my walk down the hallway. I paused outside the entrance of the sitting room and stared into it, and my eyes landed on Sofia almost immediately.I felt my mouth dry up slowly, and my throat bobbed on an empty swallow motion, and I stared into the back of her head intently, wondering why I had been so eager to see her tonight.Granted, she had managed to crawl her way into my head, and coupled with what had happened between us last night, which had led to her falling asleep in my arms. One of those reasons was most definitely worry, which was completely and totally understandable… the other reason, wasn’t really understandable to me.It was almost
