Chapter 141

Luca’s POV

I pushed the door closed behind me as soon as I had made my way into the house and I pulled the door shut, as I pushed my way away from the door and started to make my way deeper into the house. I paused at the middle of the hallway and toed off my shoes, before moving the shoes to the side of the hallway, and continuing my walk down the hallway. I paused outside the entrance of the sitting room and stared into it, and my eyes landed on Sofia almost immediately.

I felt my mouth dry up slowly, and my throat bobbed on an empty swallow motion, and I stared into the back of her head intently, wondering why I had been so eager to see her tonight.

Granted, she had managed to crawl her way into my head, and coupled with what had happened between us last night, which had led to her falling asleep in my arms.

One of those reasons was most definitely worry, which was completely and totally understandable… the other reason, wasn’t really understandable to me.
