CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Carlos’ POV

My control was waning.

Little did she know, her scent has been driving me crazy since the minute I got here. Meeting her for some brief span of time in the cell, I had been glad there were bars separating us. Because if she looked like she did today, I would have lost it.

I did not expect to find her inhaling my jacket I’d swung over her as she slept.

“Is that what you really want?” I asked lowly. I know my wolf is now dangerously close to the surface.

She nodded, licking her lips dry. That did it.

I pressed her against the stone, my hand closing around her throat. And she moaned. The sound echoed in my ears, making me shudder pleasurably.

All I wanted was to scare her a bit. Maybe that would do something about her head.

But the sweet, innocent sound she just made was too tempting to resist.
