CHAPTER 97 - NO MATTER THE COST

Amos’ POV

“I watched her walk away, I watched her leave me,” I mumbled as I ran my hand through my hair. I could never forget that day, it was crystallized in my mind. I remembered standing just behind her and watching her walk towards the train, I wanted to stop her, to hold her and tell her I believed her but I held myself back, she entered the train and it left, that train left with a big part of me, I could feel my heart shatter into a million pieces but this was meant to be, it was the only way she could be free.

“I just couldn't let her suffer,” I thought as I remembered everything I had put in place, I had not missed a single detail, not left anything undone when it came to her.
