CHAPTER 56 - A MYRIAD OF PROBLEMS

Amos' POV

“If I was against you, you wouldn't stand a chance,” Victor chuckled looking me dead in the eyes.

“What do you mean?” I asked looking at him perplexed, he was always the quiet and calm one but now he looked like a psychopath.

“You are really lucky,” he said bursting out in laughter, he suddenly stopped and looked at me seriously.

“I will tell you the story, because I know what you are thinking right now, and your guess is right, the roots of this matter go deeper than you can imagine,” he said to me, he was whispering and it seemed he wanted to tell me a secret.

“I didn't meet Maya just anywhere in the city, I met her in an abandoned warehouse, she was just in a fight with Susan her master, and was badly injured.” Victor cleared his throat and signaled to me that someone was actually listening to our conversation.

“Let's go back to my office,” he said as he led the way, I had never bothered to look for his office, nor had I thoroughly inspected this hospital.
