Avery's POV

“Is she awake yet?” Amos asked as I began to regain consciousness, why was he so concerned?

“Stop moving Alpha, you are heavily injured,” Victor admonished, it seemed like Amos was not listening to him.

“An injury that could have been avoided if only you resisted even a little bit,” Maya scolded, she seemed very irritated.

“Did you really have to that far Maya?” Amos asked, what were they referring to?

“Doesn't she deserve to know who her real enemy is?” Maya bit back, it seemed that she was telling the truth after all.

“Maya,” I whispered as my eyes opened, I owed her an apology but even worse I owed Amos an apology, I almost killed him just now and for what?

“Avery, you are finally awake,” Maya said sounding distant and unconcerned, I was not used to this behavior from her.

“I'm sorry Maya,” I said truly, I had attacked Amos in anger and it seemed that I had ruined so many things.
