CHAPTER 33 - RISK IT ALL

Amos’ POV

“Where are we going ?” Avery finally asked after some time, I could tell she had been crying all this time, I had yet to hear her story but I already knew it was a tragic one.

“I'm taking you back home,” I said silently, it was high time she met everyone and we started a family, I was also aware she had nobody and nowhere to go.

“No…please…no!” She exclaimed softly, I couldn't understand why she said that, the last time we had an argument, it was because I wasn't willing to do this, why was she rejecting it now?

“I can't meet everyone like this…please,” she begged, finally returning my touch for the first time since the day before.

“I understand completely,” I said. What she was requesting made sense, it won't be a nice first meeting.

“Thank you,” she whispered and went back to silence. I could feel her pain and sadness, I just wanted to take it away.
