Chapter Fifteen

"Ms. Cindy." Eric handed a flash drive to me.

I smiled and thanked him before starting my bike's engine.

Yesterday was Calvin's birthday. Uncle threw a birthday party for him. He invited me to come but I declined again. Now is not the right time.

I hid the flash drive in my leather jacket's pocket.

Today's our meeting day for the plan that Sphinx and I discussed. I'm still not sure if Mamba's ready for her first mission. I don't want this plan to fail.

I went straight to our hideout. Mamba was the first in the hideout when I arrived. She was at the firing range.

"Hi Phoenix!" She put the gun on the table and approached me.

"You're early." I said.

I could say that her shooting skills sharpened. Based on the target holes.

"I slept here for two days. I've been practicing a lot." She said proudly.

"Good for you." I said and turned my back.

I grabbed my bag that was hanging on my bike and walked in our makeshift gym.

I felt her in my back.

I unzipped my jacket.
