With a twirl couped with the shake of her bum in the tight short dress she wore, Eleanorah made her last steps to the song that was being played.

The large dimly lit hall was filled with murmur. Men of various ages and statuses crowded the space, their eyes gleaming with a mix of excitement and greed. The air was thick with the scent of sweat, cologne, and the faint aroma of spilled liquor.

Then in an instant, the hall erupted into an applause, much to Eleanorah's surprise.

She knew she had danced with all of her might but she didn't expect that it would elicit such a wave of reaction from the men who filled the spaces of the hall watching her.

A murmur ran through the crowd, and then a voice called out from the back. "One hundred ducats!"

"Two Hundred!!!" Another voice came, challenging the first voice that had bidded a price on her before.

Eleanorah's eyes widened in horror as she heard this.

She had no idea what was happening, but the reality of it was dawning on he

The car turned onto the winding road leading to Vincenzo's fortress, she couldn't help but feel a mix of fear and nervousness. This was her first time visiting a big city like Italy, and to top it off, she was about to step into a grand mansion that seemed to emerge straight from a fairy tale,a contrast to the life of poverty she was born and raised in.She couldn't contain her awe as she approached his fortress. The grandeur of the mansion, resembling a castle, left her speechless. She made sure to hide her astonishment, not wanting to appear too overwhelmed in front of his men. As Eleanorah stepped out of the car and into the fortress, trailing his and his men's footsteps, she couldn't help but feel a wave of apprehension. The beauty of her surroundings contrasted sharply with the heaviness in her heart. She was now a married woman in name only, but bound a captive to a man whose reputation preceded him.The feeling of being trapped in a world she didn't belong to, surrounded by pe

As Dmitri settled Eleanorah into the bed of her room, her mind buzzed with a mixture of fear, confusion, and a growing sense of defiance.Confused because of how the room Dmitri had taken her to was designed to shit a woman's preferences, though not hers. The windows were covered with curtains that had flowery embroidery on them.Flowers were also brought in, and kept on some parts of the side tables that stayed at strategic places of the room, unlike the other parts of the house that were covered with dark designs that gave out a cold aura. Did he have his servants design the room for her coming even though she was just his captive or was there something else the room was meant for she questioned herself. Her gaze shifted to Dmitri who had walked up to the door and stood at it's entrance, not leaving nor coming aby closer to her. She felt a need to assert herself, to carve out even a small semblance of control in the situation."Thank you" she murmured to him, her voice wavering y

Eleanorah's heart raced as the door swung open to reveal the contents of the room and it sent a shiver down her spine. It was a collection of different whips, chains, and other implements used in forced coitus. They were neatly arranged in the room that was large and could fall as a supermarket. They filled the room.Did he engage in illegal sexual trade too, she wondered. Her mind flashed to the novels she had read, fantasies spun from imagination, now starkly real before her eyes.Vincenzo's smirk twisted with dark amusement as he led her into the room, his grip firm on her arm. "Impressive, isn't it?" he purred, gesturing to the array of tools that spoke of dark desires and control. It filled the room like a supermarket and this left Eleanorah thinking that he also indulged in illegal sexual trading, not just the drugs he was known for pushing. The tension lingered in the air even after Vincenzo's victory, with Lorenzo's eyes remaining fixated on Eleanorah who could not fathom why he was staring at her like he did and without moving his eyes away from her. "How about a little entertainment to celebrate your victory?" Lorenzo finally spoke and proposed to Vincenzo. "Of course yes, why would I shy from celebrating my win?" Vincenzo replied him smirking. Lorenzo's gaze shifted to Eleanorah. "I dare the lovely lady to dance for us." He said and turned his gaze to Vincenzo again, narrowing his eyes for his reaction. Vincenzo's stomach tightened at the suggestion. He hated the idea of Eleanorah being paraded in front of these men, but he was in a delicate position and couldn't refuse because of the number of people from the underworld that were in the casino as well. Any protest might be seen as a sign of weakness, something he could not afford. Eleanorah looked at Vincenzo, her eyes wide with uncertainty. Was she t

Vincenzo had meticulously planned the night down to the finest detail. She had trespassed his abode, she had found out about his dead brother. It was one of his weaknesses. He disliked people finding out about his death and death awaited them on their own path when they did. But he couldn't kill her. Something in his hand suggested not just making her his pet but his pawn. Something in him had told him to groom her into his finest pawns. She was beautiful and her beauty was sure to captivate and enthral the rulers of the night. He had an enemy who had been giving him issues, Lorenzo. He was a well-known figure in the gambling circles and of recent,he had won a gamble against him, this act he despised and was focused on regaining what he had lost from him. He was a man with a penchant for risk and a weakness for beautiful women, beautiful women which Vincenzo was going to use Eleanorah to bring him to his knees. He intended to exploit both. He knew that the best way to disar

The sound of footsteps that came rushing almost immediately the wire was tampered with needed no one to tell Eleanorah that she had overstepped her boundaries. "Are you okay Signorina?" Dmitri immediately fired at her void of emotions and with the menacing cold tone he had adopted earlier. " I'm sorry Signorina but you'd need to learn to walk with the shoes, I cannot change them for you even if they hurt your toes" he added trying to create a distraction as the men barfed into the room. Eleanorah noticed that he was trying to create an excuse and immediately began to act alongside him, pressing her legs as if they had been disfigured because of the heels she wore. " Be careful next time Dmitri, I'll take over from here" one of the men howled at Dmitri and Eleanorah watched on pretending as if she did not know that the reason behind him getting dismissed from her was because they had to have his recorder fixed and back on. The man that had volunteered to continue watching her

There was something with the way Eleanorah had fallen asleep that she couldn't recall. She couldn't recall when she had gone to her room after her encounter with the Don and neither could she fathom when she had entered the car that was speeding through the lanes. Opening her eyes to decipher what was on, she met Dmitri's gaze and on further probe, discovered that they were the only two in the car, alongside the driver. "Where are we going to?" She inquired. But no one seemed to want to answer her. The both of them ignored her questions as if they were not the ones she was referring to. She wanted to move her body but the slight headache she felt made her arch back to rest her back on the car again. It seemed something had been off. Something had been definitely off. ********* "Signorina, you need to wear this" Dmitri said as he handed over a pair of outfit to Eleanorah who stood with him in the empty room. She took the clothe and inspected it, but returned it back to

  • Becoming Vincenzo's    Chapter 12; The Drizzling Rain

The rain was done falling and only the drizzles were what kept on going. Eleanorah tossed around on her bed, unable to sleep. She couldn't bring herself to do so while her mind was somewhere else. The tombstone she had seen at the garden. Was it really Vincenzo's brother's or his mother's. Who was it that had died that made him plant colorful flowers at his garden. These questions churned deep within her and had her glancing occasionally where Dmitri stood to ascertain whether he was asleep or was still watching over her. Seeing that her plans might be successful without a glitch when she heard him snoring, she tiptoed out of her bed and carrying the lantern that was on the table, she walked quietly out of the room, heading outside the passage. Surely the don wouldn't be awake by then, it was midnight. Even if he were to be awake, there was no way he would find out that she was not in her room nor whether she had gone to the garden. Recalling how Dmitri had locked the door

"Is the Don falling in love master?" A chef asked the head chef who was beside him. "He seems to. But the Don is not one to fall in love. He is a stone hearted human. Can this girl be able to break the shackles?" He answered and asked at the same time. Dmitri heard them and turned to look but they immediately went on with what they had been doing. The head chef watched as the others dished out the food while also arranging what she had scattered. He knew the Don. He was one of the oldest people of the fortress and he had lived in since when his brother had died, so he knew most things about him and about how his world had been shaped because of his upbringing. But in all the years he had been at the fortress, he had never allowed anyone else make the Don's meal. Even though he seldom ate and was always out and about with his businesses, the little times he ate at home, it had always been whatever he made. No one had tried taking up the cooking from him.
