VALERIE'S POV

I know my decision to abruptly was silly but I didn't mind one bit, it was far better than sitting together with my kidnapper and Stephano's stepmom who for unknown reason resents me. My mind was clouded with multiple thoughts at the moment and I was trying my best to erase unwanted thoughts from my mind while I focused on driving.

As I drove down the highway, I started to feel anxious since I had no idea where I was going to in this foreign city. I was already far away from Stephano's parents house so there was no turning back, not like I'd consider it either way. I decided it would be best to just check the maps on my phone so I don't get lost. I took my eyes off the road for just a few seconds, but that was all it took. When I looked up, I saw the car in front of me had suddenly stopped. In shock and head filled with incoherent thoughts, I swerved into the next lane and collided with another car.
