Aiden's POV

I excused the policemen outside and went to the corridor with them. We needed to get to the root of the matter.

"Please, I do not want the police to get involved in this investigation." I told him without mincing words.

There was no time for that.

"Why? This case is very dangerous." The stern looking policeman asked.

I sighed deeply not wanting to prolong any matters.

"I am sure you aren't deaf sir. Houston will wake up. There's no need for the police to get involved." I said sternly and walked back into the room, fixing my gaze on Fiona.

Her eyes was wet and puffy from crying all through. Her nose was red and her silky hair was in a matted knot.

She truly was distraught from Houston's situation. I felt miserable and honestly, I had almost forgotten how much she adored him as her brother.

As our eyes met firmly, she walked towards him, staring at me with full curiousity.

"What was that about??" She asked, widening her eyes.
