CHAPTER 87

Aidan's POV

The car hummed softly and stopped. I hurried out of the car to help Fiona off.

She stared at me solemnly and swatted my arms off slowly. She pursed her lips before heaving a sigh and finally yielded her hands to me.

"I'm tired." she said in an annoyed voice but her eyes spoke of amusement.

"Let's go to the bedroom?" I raised my brows at her.

"Hmmm mmm." She murmured under her breath but said nothing.

I led her into the house and upstairs to the bedroom where she flung herself on the bed even before the light was switched was on.

"Are you that tired?" I asked as I pressed the light switch.

"Crying sucks energy. I need to go to the bathroom. I'm filled up to my throat." She groaned.

"Yeah, we have Houston to thank for that." My voice was muffled and I spoke without turning back as I was already heading into the closet.

As I unbuttoned my cuff, my mind roamed to the event of the day.
