Howlers #3

"The Moon Goddess who rules our destiny, Tala, I can't help it when she gives me a human mate." Alaric said those words without knowing how Tala felt like being torn apart.

The she-wolf hissed and bared her pointed fangs. Her nails were sticking out, her eyes flashing with anger and jealousy.

"Don't you realize how much I love you, Alaric? We grew up together for decades, aren't you impressed at all? How easily could a human girl destroy our relationship?"

Alaric sighed. "Tala, please understand, I don't want this!"

Tala jumped up and tore at Alaric's face with full force. "Damn it! I know how viciously you guys fuck and you say you don't want any of this? Alpha bastard!"

"I envy that girl's scent that can make you drunk like crazy!" Tala began to recall how sweet Lizzy's scent was and admitted that she was losing badly in that department.

Alaric had never been tempted by Tala's pheromones no matter how hard the wolf tried to bring Alaric to his knees. Anger seemed to be rolling around in the Beta's chest and his attacks were getting more and more furious.

Alaric tried to deflect Tala's every attack without intending to retaliate. He tried to understand the jealousy of his betas and tried to quell it without hurting Tala. The she-wolf vented her frustration violently without seeing that Alaric was her master. All boundaries between master and subordinate no longer existed between them.

They rolled on the ground and Alaric was forced to fight back as Tala's attacks intensified. Tala jumped to avoid Alaric's shreds, nimbly moving from one corner to another, until she was only a few feet away from the prone Lizzy. With a vicious grin, Tala attacked Lizzy without being prevented by Alaric. In just a few seconds Tala bit Lizzy's shoulder, the shoulder that bore Alaric's bite marks. Her heart throbbed with pain remembering how Alaric had made those bite marks with passion. The wolf then tore into her roughly to the point that one of her nails came off and made the girl look like she was dying with an incredible trickle of blood. Not only that, Tala also damaged Lizzy's face. The beautiful face that made him envious and thought it was because of that face that Alaric had fallen for a human girl.

"Tala!" Alaric's growl echoed throughout the cave. The fire of anger flashed in his eyes which instantly made Tala realize that she had gone too far.

Alaric lunged at Tala with a single kick and sent the wolf bouncing into the cave wall. In a fit of rage, Alaric tore at Tala's face and ripped her stomach open, causing the wolf to scream in pain. Alaric continued to attack Tala until he was satisfied and the she-wolf was dying.

"You may hate me, but not my mate, Tala! I'm really disappointed in you! You are defying the Moon Goddess' destiny!" Alaric's words boomed in the center of the dimly lit cave. The fireplace Alaric had lit even nearly died during their feud.

"Tala, I don't want to punish you because the Moon Goddess will!" Alaric exclaimed one last time before transforming into his human form and carrying Lizzy away from the cave.

Tala screamed with a pained sob. "Damn Moon Goddess! Why did you arrange fate in such a way? You never cared about the feelings that naturally grew between us! All those feelings must die when your decree comes! I hate you!" The wolf howled amidst the curses coming out of his mouth.

Tala transformed into a human and her naked body huddled in the corner of the damp cave. She cried and babbled on and on until she lost consciousness.

Meanwhile, Alaric darted quickly between the trees towards the rising sun. Lizzy was pale from the loss of blood but still managed to hold on for some time. Alaric was filled with an overwhelming sense of worry and hoped they reached the hut to treat Lizzy's wounds.

A hut built on the edge of a cliff and far away from any wolf pack looked cold from Alaric's vantage point. The man rushed in and immediately laid Lizzy down on a warm bed. Noisy shelves of complete potions lined one wall, while other shelves contained tools that only Alaric knew how to use.

Deftly and carefully Alaric took an injection and injected Datura into Lizzy's shoulder. The anesthetic effect caused numbness and Lizzy who was already unconscious got deeper into the dream. Tala's sharp nails lodged in Lizzy's shoulder gave a horrifying effect when Alaric managed to remove them. His yellow eyes flashed angrily in agonizing worry.

The blood from the girl's body did not stop, after Alaric applied the Black Nightshade potion to Lizzy's wounds, the man wrapped her in bandages and began to treat Lizzy's badly damaged face.

Her nose bone was broken and her lip was torn, the corner of her eye was also slightly bruised. Alaric not only applied Black Nightshade there, but he also cast a spell and his magic worked to restore the facial construction of the girl who became his soulmate. With the power of his magic, Lizzy's face miraculously returned to its original state and there were no scars on it at all. Alaric breathed a sigh of relief and felt that he did it at the right time, because if it was too late, his magic might not work and his lover's face would not recover perfectly.

"Lizzy, you are really strong. Perhaps the Moon Goddess gave you the destiny to be my partner because you are this strong. The Moon Goddess knew I needed a companion who could match my strength, hence why you were chosen." Alaric stroked his beloved's face soulfully. He kissed Lizzy's lips gently.

Alaric waited for a long time for Lizzy to wake up from her sleep and make the man sleepy on the side of the bed. His soft snoring sounded calm when Lizzy woke up after groaning a few times because she felt an unnatural pain. Humans may have different pain tolerances, but the pain Lizzy experienced apparently exceeded any human's pain tolerance limit and she made it through that phase. The Datura potion gave Lizzy a dizzying effect on her head, but she remained aware that this place was as unfamiliar as the previous place.

Alaric, who sensed the movement of Lizzy, immediately opened his eyes and displayed warm yellow eyes.

"Mate, you're awake!"

Alaric couldn't resist hugging Lizzy. While the girl was just stunned with a strange feeling that was hard to understand. There was a sense of warmth coursing through her heart, on the other hand there was a deep sadness about how much her life had changed after that night.

"Tell me what you feel now," Alaric pleaded gently while rubbing Lizzy's pale face.

The girl struggled to form sentences, as if she hadn't spoken in centuries and had forgotten how to talk.

"A little dizzy and sore all over my body," Lizzy finally managed to speak.

Alaric sighed softly with guilt, "I'm sorry," Alaric said.

"Who exactly are you?" That was the question Lizzy had wanted to ask since the first day of her confusion.

"I am Alaric Braze, the alpha of the Silver Hammers Pack has marked you as my century mate and I would like to formally introduce you to the pack members."
