Chapter 1

Damaria

I’m about to sip my tea when a certain red dagger got stuck at the pillar on my balcony, and there’s a note attached to it. I went up from my chair and went to the dagger, then I took the note tied to the dagger's handle.

The prey has been caught; news will probably reach you soon though

I smiled as I read the note, then I lit the paper, and I threw it at the bodies of the assassins that were sent to me last night, Two birds with one stone.

I sat back down and I continued sipping my tea, it will be a peaceful day soon.

While drinking tea and reading a book, I heard a knock on my door, I placed the book on the table.

“Come in,” I said, and when the servant came in, he was startled with the ashes scattered on the floor of my room.

“What is it?” I asked him as I stared at him, he reverted his attention again as he told me the news I was waiting for.

“The Grand Duke wants you to go to the main hall, 4 convicts will get their Judgement,” he said, I smiled Ahh, it’s very pleasing to hear.

“Alright, by the way, get some servants and clean this mess up, I’ll be taking a walk in the Garden,” I told the servant as I got up from my seat, he bowed as I walked past him and outside my room.

When I got to the Garden, I saw four Figures there, and I know who they are, I smiled as I walk towards the figures.

“Mother Fleurine, Good Morning” I greeted as I curtsied in front of her, Mother Fleurine smiled then she took me into her embrace, her warm embrace that keeps my sanity from being taken away from me.

“Good morning Damaria Dear, how are you?” she asked as she sat on a bench while the triplets play near her.

“I’m fine mother, nothing to worry about,” I told her as I smile, she smiled sweetly, I looked at the time, and it’s almost noon, so I have to leave now.

I stood up and Mother Fleurine showed a confused face, I smiled under my fan.

“Mother Fleurine, I have an appointment this afternoon, so I must leave now, I have to go back to my residence now,” I told her, when she nodded, I left the Garden and I went back to the Residence.

“Where have you been?” Juliette, the woman who gave birth to me, asked when I entered the estate, I looked at her with no expression on my face or whatsoever then I started walking towards the stairs.

“You Little Brat!” She raised her hand attempting to slap me, but she failed when I grabbed her wrist.

“Juliette, it seems that you still don’t know your place in this house huh, do you even know what the punishment is when you hurt me?” I asked, she looked so scared, I brought my face closer to hers, then I whispered.

“You will die, if you hurt me and no one will retaliate about it” I whispered, I looked at her face and it looks so shaken up, hilarious. I scoffed before letting her go.

“I-I am your mother! Without me, you wouldn’t have lived into this world!” she shouted. I looked at her as if she is some crazy woman spouting nonsense.

“Do you really think I wanted to be born in this hellhole? Do you really think I’ll thank you for bringing me into this horrible place? If you are thinking like that, then you’re dead wrong” I told her. Then I left.

I don’t really care if she abused me my whole childhood No, that is the tip of my anger. I loathe her for killing my newborn brother just because he doesn’t have the same good qualities as I. I loathe her for destroying my first light to this hell. 

“Fabian, bring my food to my room right away, I’ll eat now,” I told the butler, he immediately obeyed but I still saw an annoyed look flashing on his face. I smirked.

“Oh right, Jabiar needs to eat now too, better feed him, Fabian, I want you to feed it by yourself” I ordered, he looks so shaken up, of course, who wouldn’t be? The one he’ll be feeding is my wyvern after all.

“Y-yes miss” he answered with a shaking voice, I dismissed him so he can do my orders, while I wait for my lunch, I looked outside, and I saw a familiar face, she has ash gray hair, and has emerald eyes, probably Mikaela. The figure waved at me, and it is Mikaela, she’s my fifth sister and one of the top five too. I waved back to her then she left towards the forest.

After waiting for at least 30 minutes, Fabian entered my room with my lunch, I fixed my posture and I looked at the food. A steak for lunch, not bad Fabian placed the food on my table, then the utensils and such. When I got the food, I started eating, since I have to change my dress after this, a Black dress would suit this event I was about to eat my last piece of steak when a guy with a black mask entered my room from the balcony, I looked at him from the side of my eyes, then I saw a symbol on his sleeves.

I turned to Fabian who was stunned beside me, he looked at me then back at the guy again.

“Fabian, one word to father about this, and your life will end. Remember, I have ears and eyes everywhere here in the whole territory, much better spies than father. So, I will know if you report this to him” I warned him while exuding my aura, he got frightened then he bowed.

“Get out” I ordered, and he left immediately. I mean who wouldn’t leave? When your life is on the line, it's hilarious, isn’t it?

“You fail as an Assassin, Mikael,” I said, then the man removed his mask revealing my little brother Mikael, He’s Mikaela’s twin, the fourth.

“Big sister, you know that’s not my forte though,” he said as he laughed, I took my tea then I took a sip.

“So, why did you come here?” I asked him, he looked at me, then his smiley face turned serious.

“They’re moving, they will surely target all of us,” he told me, I chuckled at his news.

“I know, I already killed 30 Assassins,” I told him as I calmly sip my tea, he looked shocked for a second, but then his face turned back to normal.

“That is so just like you,” he said as he chuckled.

“So, what will you wear for the event later?” he asked me, I looked at the black dress that was prepared beside my dresser.

“A black dress would look appropriate no?” I said, he laughed then he went back to the balcony.

“Pfft, Hahaha, I’ll return to our estate now big sis, see you later at the main hall,” he said as he jumped down from the balcony, I finished drinking the tea, so I called a servant over to clean the dishes.

And, I started to prepare for the event later.

“So, what do you want to say for yourselves” Father, Grand Duke Mauvis Louelle Revoltoir asked the “Criminals” as he sat on the chair in the main hallway, in front of him, there they are, the filthy criminals who broke the sacred rule.

“Father! I’m innocent! I didn’t do it!” Clara pleaded while looking at father’s eyes, Fool, looking father in the eyes means death, unless you’re a recognized asset of course I looked at father who’s beside me, and you can see the rage into his Cerulean blue eyes.

“I see, still speaking nonsense till the end, kill all of them, and throw their body at a cliff near the territory” Father commanded as he stood up from his chair and left the room.

“Your Grace! Please no!” Alaina shouted as she kneeled on the floor, but of course, Father didn’t listen and he just left the room.

“Mother-“ Clara called out to her mother, but she got cut off when Lorieoux slashed her half, with his sword.

“Clara!” Alaina shouted with tears streaming down from her eyes. A pleasant sight, Alaina who bullied Mother Fleurine, kneeling on the floor beside her late daughter is a pleasant sight I thought as I looked at them with no expression on my face. The Other two got beheaded, when they officially died, the servants took the body of Clara and the others, they wrapped it with white clothing, and they left to go to the cliff to throw the body away.

I started walking towards the door going outside.

When I saw my dearest sister, walking out, I started to leave as well, I want to go with big sister after all, but while I was walking, a turd, no Davina held the helm of my dress, that’s why I turned towards her.

“YOU KILLED MY CHILD! YOU KILLED MY NICOLAS! YOU ARE TO BE BLAMED FOR HIS DEATH!” she shouted while holding the helm of my gown, I just snorted at her, I brought my face close to her as I smile.

“You’re the one who killed your child, it’s all because of your greed,” I told her, then I stood up again and I stepped on her hand that’s holding my gown.

“Ack!” she shouted as I stepped on her hand, then I twisted my foot so it’ll hurt more.

“Never, offend me again, or it’ll be something worse than that,” I said as I removed my foot on her hand, and then I left her standing there with her jaws dropped.
