Zeke's POV

I stood there, frozen in disbelief as Chris's words echoed in the chaotic room. "Why do you prefer to go with someone who keeps hurting you every single fucking time?"

His accusation cut through the air like a knife, slicing into the already tense atmosphere. Kamille paused in her tracks, her tears glistening in the dim light of the Manor mansion.

My heart clenched with a mixture of anger and desperation. How could he say such things to her? Kamille, who had endured so much, deserved none of this.

“You don't get to tell her what she wants!” I barked at Chris.

“And do you think you do?" He asked coldly.

I clenched my fists, my gaze shifting between Kamille and Chris, knowing that every second counted now.

“She knows what is right and you don't. So get the hell out of here already!" I yelled at him.

He was such an eyesore.

“Have I warned you not to ride on waters you cannot control?” He asked coldly as he raised his gun towards me.
