Alexa's POV

“I don't know what to believe.” I said.

“I'll leave you to it.” He said and turned around to leave. It was then that I remembered what exactly that I came here for. I couldn't let the death of the white wolf be in vain. Also, Zaria was dead. And there was nothing that I could do to ever bring her back. So now my focus should be on my pack, Deep into the woods and how to make it prosperous again without any interference from the shadow Wolves.

“Wait,” I said causing the Shadow Wolves leader to halt in his steps.

“What?” He asked before looking at me.

“If you don't have any magic then how come you don't react to my magic?” I asked.

“Oh,” he turned to me. “Ever since I was little, I always carry a little pendant with me which makes me immune to magic. I don't know who gave it to me but somehow it always works and protects me when I'm in danger. It's like a little pocket charm.” He said.

“By the way,” I said, “I want to you to stop attacking Deep into the woods.”

We can take over the world and no one would ever be able to stop us. You are a star Witch.”“You're my brother,” I said, still in shock as that was true. I had found that out but myself.“Call me Edward,” he said causing my jaw to drop.“What?”“My name is Edward.”“Well Edward I don't know what to do concerning you. You are my brother?! That's crazy. My parents, I mean, our parents never told me that they gave birth to a boy.”“That's probably because they didn't want you to be any sadder If they told you that your twin brother is missing.”“Twin brother?” I said, feeling shocked a second time.“We're twins?!” I asked.“Yes,” he nodded, “And stop acting so surprised everytime, it's annoying.”“I see.” I answered, but then I said, “We're really siblings. That is amazing. And not amazing at the same time. If you knew that we were related all this

The wet slap of flesh echoed through the door. My heart pounded in my ears as realization crept over me like ice water. I pressed my palm against the wood, pushing it open a sliver.Jasper's naked back glistened with sweat. Olivia's legs were locked around his waist as he thrust into her. Their grunts and moans filled the room like a perverted symphony. A vase clattered behind me. I whipped around at the sound, my elbow clipping the edge of the hall table. Purple shards scattered across the hardwood.Jasper froze, his eyes finding mine over Olivia's shoulder. Her mouth formed a surprised 'O'. I should have run, but I was paralyzed, a deer mesmerized by oncoming headlights."Alexa..." Jasper's gravelly voice broke the spell. Olivia's head lolled to the side, strands of blonde hair stuck to her sweaty brow as she registered my presence."Oh god..." she gasped, arms scrambling to cover her breasts.Fury propelled me backwards as Jasper disentangled himself, grabbing blindly for his jea

A cacophony of jarring sounds penetrated the darkness. Distant voices intermingled with the thrumming of my own ragged pulse. My brow furrowed as consciousness slowly trickled back.Where...?The viscous ooze of half-remembered nightmares clung to the edges of my mind like cobwebs. Shadowy impressions began to materialize - the relentless pursuit, the demented shrieks, those ruinous, haunting eyes...My own eyes flew open as the final dregs of sleep dissolved. I gulped down grateful lungfuls of air, grounding myself in the simple act of breathing. In. Out. In. Out. As the fuzzy mental static cleared, I recognized the cozy confines of Shirley's living room. The floral chintz sofa cradled my prone form, a ridiculously oversized quilt bunched around my legs."--lexa? Can you hear me?" Shirley's familiar alto cut through the fog still clouding my senses. I blinked rapidly, trying to focus on the two blurry figures looming over me. Shirley's concerned visage slowly swam into view, her

Chapter three. Jasper's POV I never expected this to happen, especially not now. Just as I was about to sit down, my doctor, John, walked in—my bestie. "Good morning, Jasper. How are you?" he asked, looking at me with concern. I couldn't find the words to respond. "It's about Alexa, isn't it?" he said, reading my expression. Of course, he could tell. My frustration over Alexa's disappearance was written all over my face. With her absence, there's a strange sense of emptiness, but it also gives me space to breathe. Yet, the wolf inside me is restless, craving to tear apart whoever is responsible for her disappearance. "Tell me, John, how did this happen? How did I end up mating with someone other than my true mate?" I asked, my voice laced with frustration and confusion. John approached me, guiding me to sit down as he began examining me—starting with my eyes, nose, and mouth. His frown deepened, and I gave him a questioning look. "Someone used hypnotism on you, buddy. As a witc

Jasper's POV “Alpha, you asked of me.” Olivia said wittily, her head bowed down like a saint. “Yes I did.” I said firmly. I was about to speak but she beat me to it. “You don't have to crown me Luna yet, I know you are still grieving for your mate.” My anger increased. What the hell was the wretched talking about? I felt like ripping her to shreds at the moment, but that in itself was too merciful for her. “Do you know who you are talking to and what you are dealing with, Olivia. How the hell do you say such thing with so much confidence?!” Olivia looked lost which made me even angrier. How did I end in bed with a woman like this one? I was really out of my mind. “What do you mean, Alpha? Do you mean to say you are not planning on making me your Luna?” “Why the hell would I even think of doing that? I went to bed with you only because of your hypnotism. What makes you think I would choose you on a normal day?!” Olivia gasped in shock and held her hands together in front of h

Alexa's POVI paced around the room in utter annoyance with my thoughts ruminating.I didn't know what to do. From the saga that happened between Jasper and I, and that which had to do concerning my ‘mother’, Nora. And my identity as a half-witch.I felt deeply moved to go to Jasper and give him a listening ear to what really happened that night, while also I was thinking About if I should trust Nora or not concerning the things that she said about me.Indeed, she knew my secrets but what did that have to do with if she was my real mother or not.“You know what? Shirley, what do you think?” Shirley who had been sitting quietly in the living room finally stopped shaping her nails with the nail cutter. She blew on it advently and said.“You know there's a slang these days that go ‘Think with your head and do not be moved by your emotions that you end up making the wrong decisions.’ I think that quote alone is helpful to us all. But most especially you, Alexa.”“Then don't you think I s

Chapter Six Alexa's POV “If you truly care about me you will not go.”“Mom!”Nora was at it again, and I felt engulfed in my own feelings. “Except you choose that strange man over me, you may leave.”“Mom that's not what I want, believe me. I care about you.” As it was right now, the desires of my mother was clear. She wanted me to choose between her and Jasper and my answer was easy. Her. She was the one who gave birth to me anyway but I also wondered about Jasper and what his answer would be when I faced him again. He could even say that he hated me and from the very first instant that we met, he plotted to ruin her life. These fears concerning what the truth was really made me scared but calm and so it was easy for me to stay calm in the situation. I hugged my mom tightly and she smiled in response before she hugged me back.“Thank you dear, you're making the right choice, I vow to you.”“You must help me raise my child in the future,”“Don't worry, we can do so together.” I hug

It was my first time meeting him. “I recently moved into the pack with the help of my friend, Shirley. She was going to introduce me to the leader of the pack and maybe the elders but I was too busy.”The Alpha looked me up and down and said, “Fine. But do you accept your offer of residing in the packhouse? I am willing to host you. I don't want another situation in which there would be an emergency but there would be no one to help.”“Don't you have a nurse at the packhouse?” I asked, genuinely interested in knowing.“We used to. Untill she got married and left to her mate's pack. We haven't replaced her ever since.”“I'm her replacement then,” I said quietly.“If you join the packhouse I promise to pay you quite generously.”“Of course, Alpha.” it is not that I thought I would be a burden to Shirley if I s

Alexa's POVPhillip looked nervous so I whispered unto him, “Raise up your head. This moment will determine how long you will be respected by everyone.”He did as I said and raised his head up. I focused my gaze on the crowd. “Everyone, I would like you to put a hand together for Phillip North. He put his life as risk to find out the truth that Alpha Nate was with the enemy. Because of him we know who our enemies are and who our friends are.” I said and they all applauded him.“I would also like to announce to you all that Phillip would be the Beta of Deep into the woods, I hope you all listen to him as well as you listen to me.” I said. There was a little bit of hesitation amongst the crowd. After all, most of them were aware of what had happened in the pack with Zaria North. However, some clapped and I instantly knew that Phillip would have some problem controlling the people and ruling them but I also knew that he would have to prove himself. Only then would he be accepted.“Every

He did as I urged with his eyes widened in anticipation for what I would say next.“What's the problem?” He asked.“I choose today to officially make you my beta.”“But why what's the hurry?”“I just thought about it and to be frank with you, I don't like how everything in my pack is moving so I decided that I would go to meet the leader of the shadow Wolves. That's the only way that the pack would ever make progress. I'm tired of people dying on me.”“Alpha, that is dangerous. Is there anyone else you've spoken about this to?”“Just you, Phillip.”Phillip cleared his throat, “How is the baby doing?”“Good. But the most important thing here isn't me or the baby. It's the pack. Alexa's POVI shuddered, feeling as though there was something wrong in the moment. How could Arthur say that. After all he said about Zaria North?I stood up from the chair.“Arthur, you said Zaria killed your son and now you're saying you don't think she killed your son?” I said, feeling absolutely disgusted by what Arthur was saying.“Now that Zaria is dead you're changing your mind?”“It's exactly because she's dead that I think she didn't kill my son. How could she do that and kill herself, it doesn't make sense at all to me!”“What makes sense then Arthur, tell me?”“I think Zaria was controlled before she died. One of the warriors told me that she died during the war but she was brought back to life. I didn't believe him but now that she's dead, I think he might be onto something.”“She told me something similar before she died but I…” I trailed off, while thinking deeply. “I don't know.” I said while exhaling. I sat back down on my chair and said to Arthur, “Can you please cal

I was the Alpha of Deep into the woods, I could not falter, I was the Alpha so I had to be strong even though nobody else was.“I have to tell you something, Phillip.”“Oh, what is it? Alexa's POVWhen I left the prison, I went straight to my room and got under the covers but I couldn't sleep. I felt as though something was wrong. With much inner battle within myself, I took a step to drink some milk and then I finally slept off…When I woke up the next morning, I went refreshed more than ever but a tiny urge sat there for me to remain under the covers but I resisted the urge. So I took a shower and got dressed in my normal clothes then I went to my office and Martha had already replaced my files. I didn't know what to do. I still hadn't thought of what to do with Alpha Nate. He'd betrayed me of course but his betrayal made no sense to me. Unless he knew about my powers and tried to use me to fulfill his own selfish motives. However, I wouldn't know because I didn't even get to ask him. But with the rate at which things were accelerating, if I didn't put a quick stop to what was going on with the Shadow Wolves things could get worse and more people could betray. Who

What do you know about that?” I asked. She shook her head at that agressively. “Nothing I swear!”“Tell me everything you know, Zaria. Did you decide to betray me because I didn't give you everything you wanted? Instead I chased you out of the pack to represent the shadow Wolves. Did you regret being affiliated with Deep into the woods so you met with their leader instead and did his dirty deeds so he could let you go?” I asked with my eyes glowing with tears. But I stubbornly wiped the tears. There was no way I would cry because of Zaria. She wasn't worthy of my tears.Zaria suddenly stumbled back in the prison cell and her eyes widened. She clenched onto the side of her top and said, ”I remember now.”My eyes widened.“Tell me,” I said.
