CHAPTER 5: MEMORIES

HADES' POV

After Eurus and Eros left, the atmosphere turned into intense one. We have reports to be announce to the headmaster. This is a confidential one, kaya kailangang idismiss muna ni headmaster ang mga bisita niya.  Additionally, in Eurus case, we tell him a lie. We can't afford to tell him the truth because we all know that this will lead into chaos.

"Speak." headmaster said with full of authority.

"There are three infected humans that can't handle the venom they carried, sir." sagot ni Zag. If you're been wondering what we are talking, i'll discuss it later.

"Inside  here in the campus." dagdag pa ni Zag. I see how frustrated the headmaster is. I can't blame him, her grand daughter is missing, i know it's just been one day pero we all know we can't fight against the new infected and new born without her.

"You know the drill boys. As much as possible catch them before they harm anyone." he said before dismissing us.

We plan tonight for go hunting, hinanda na namin yong mga kailangan namin dahil alam naming kulang kami sa pwersa. I grab my bow and arrow, they grab their specialty weapon also. Mahirap ang mag hunt lalo na pag mas maliksi at mas malakas sayo ang tinutugis mo.  Before I forgot as a promised, i'll tell you our dark secret. Hindi naman literal na dark, basta dark sabi ni Tyr.

"We're all set. Tara na ba?" Odin said. Tumango lang kami. Naglakad kami ng tahimik papunta sa likuran ng campus. Usually dito namin nakikita ang mga infected na mga humans, dito sila habang maliwanag pa. And now it's already dark, they are looking for they prey. Hindi namin alam kung sino ang gumagawa nito but i'm pretty sure nasa loob lang din siya ng campus.

Before i forgot again, so we have a dark secrets that we must not tell anyone. Let's take a short background story.

I don't know how to start and where so  i'll just give you our family background.  I am from the family of elite. The Dawson.  The Dawson lived over the centuries and counting, it's a family of elite. Let's say that in our world, or society we have different groups. Each group has it's own purpose. And we the Dawson, from an elite family stands for the protector. We trained to protect the ones in the top, the Cromwell. Next to it is the Caddel.

Others do not beling to the group, but they have their own purpose. 30 years ago, my father, before he died, he told me that i must protect  the  most  powerful uh–  vampire. In my generation today, that will be Aeulus Cromwell, the Cromwell that still alive. The rest is history.

So there, you have it. I won't tell the others background since it's confidential. We are vampires hunting new born and infected one.

"Hiwa-hiwalay tayo." suggest ni Odin na sinang-ayunan naman naming lahat. Ang ginawa namin ay by partner, pero may isang mag isa lang and that's me. It's fine. 'Di masakit, malayo sa bituka. *dies* HAHA kidding.

Pinili ko ang east wing ng gubat, yes gubat. Ito na ang pinakalikuran ng campus. Ang labas nito ang mahabang ilog na nagkokonekta sa St. Castillio and St. Ardelean.

Dati naman ay maganda ang campus na 'to, kung hindi lang namatay ang late headmaster hindi magiging ganito. I remember, before this big walls doesn't exist. Each student are free to roam every corner of the campus. They are also allowed to go out after class, and some establishment here is used. Not unlike now, may mga inabanduna na. Naalala ko dati, palagi kaming tumatambay anim sa pond kasi maraming isda, then one time nahuli kami ng isang prof kasi si Aeulus kumuha ng isda para kainin dahil nagugutom daw siya. Kaya simula non 'di na kami hinahayaang makalapit sa pond dahil baka maubos.

If that accident didn't happened, this school will remains the same.

"Are you done spacing out?" nakakakilabot na sambit ng babaeng kaharap ko. Humahagikgik pa ito. Number 1 i hate about infected and new born, ang pangit ng boses nila. Sana hindi binabangungot si Eurus ngayon

"Ah talaga ba?" pabalang na sagot ko. Second is, gusto nila ang makipaglaro.  They are just wasting their time, sayang naman ang pagkakataon para sana umataki.

"Hmm." para itong asong ulol. Crazy dog. Third, ayoko sa tumutulo nilang laway. Malapot na nga amoy imburnal pa, kadiri.

"Come with me, Hades." wika nito. Hindi ako gumagalaw sa kinatatayuan ko. Nakatitig lang ito sa'kin, alam ko na 'yang mga technic nila, aakitin ka then BOOM! Dead.

They have this ability to conceal their presence so that no one can feel and see them, they can also attract their prey. If you stare at their eyes, hindi ka na makakagalaw, sad for them higher vampire can detect them easily. 

"Damn, i really did underestimate you." wika nito dahil hindi umepekto ang ginawa niya sa'kin.

"Run." i said coldly, ngumisi naman ito sabay takbo. Napailing nalang ako dahil gusto talaga nito makipaglaro. Agad ko itong sinundan, i can see each details around me. I can feel the cold wind touching my cold skin. I can smell her scent, easily for me to track her.

Dinala ako ng scent niya sa abandunadong kubo. Then all my memories flashed back.

"In your dreams Hades." said with the girl that has an angelic voice. She even mock me dahil hindi ako manalo-nalo sa kaniya.

"Shut up." i said. Hindi ko matanggap na hindi ko matalo-talo ang babaeng ito. Tumayo ako para umupo sa kubo, nakatayo lang siya habang nakapamewang.

"Hades." seryosong tawag nito sa'kin.  Nilingon ko ito, ang maamo niyang mukha ay nakakagaan sa pakiramdam. Para akong lumulutang sa saya.

"What ever happens don't leave me." she said with authority. Tumango lang ako. I won't let anyone touch you. You're mine, Hestia.

"Run Hestia. RUN!" i shouted at her. She is not safe here and i can't do anything to protect her. I don't have enough strength.

"You promised me you won't leave me!" she is already crying. I kiss her in her lips, sign of my love for her. I slightly push her and whisper, "I love you, i will find you. Now run!" tumango lang siya habang humahagulhol.

She run away from me, and one last time she glanced at me before disappearing in the dark.

"Hestia!" i shouted looking for her. Nasa loob ako ng gubat, nagbabakasakaling andito pa siya nagtatago. Napadpad ako sa kubo na palagi naming tinatambayan.

I was about to walk away when i heard someone sobbing. Kaya agad akong bumalik at pumasok, then i saw her.

Her beautiful face.  "Hestia." tawag ko. Inangat niya ang ulo niya, nagulat siya saglit at nakabawi naman kaagad. I was about to hug her when she stop me.

"Please don't come near me." she said with a pain in her voice. "What happened?" i asked immediately.

"Promise me you'll kill me." nagulat ako sa sinabi niya. She uncover her neck, bumungad sa'kin ang kagat sa kaniyang leeg. Napamura ako ng malakas. Muntik ko na rin masuntok ang dingding ng kubo.

"Hestia."  tanging nasambit ko. Umiyak lang siya ng umiyak. Then she said na nong tumatakbo siya nakita siya ng isang new born. Wala siyang nagawa kundi ang sumigaw sa sakit na nararamdaman niya.

"Sana tinuluyan niya nalang ako! Hindi yong kailangan ko pang magdusa." i feel her pain. Tanging nagawa ko ay hawakan siya sa bisig ko.

"I don't want to be like them Hades. Help me." pagmamakaawa niya. "Kill me, before i turned into new born." dagdag niya. Napaiyak ako. Wala akong nagawa at wala akong magagawa. Stupid me. Sana hindi ko nalang siya inilayo sa paningin ko. I promised her!

"Alam mong hindi ko kaya." i almost crack my voice saying those line. She grab me and look into my eyes. "Kill me." utos niya.

"Please." dagdag niya. Ayoko siyang patayin pero ayoko rin siyang nakikitang nahihirapan. At ayoko namang makita siyang papatayin ng iba.

I kiss her one last time, saying her that i love her so much. It broke my heart when she smiled at me and mouthed 'Thank you, i love you too.' before ripping her head off.

I mourned her.

"Are you done looking back at your past?"  pang aasar na tanong ng babae. A tear slowly falling into my cheeks. That was my most painful memory that i don't want to remember. And this bitch triggered them all!

Dahil sa sobrang galit ko ay inataki ko ng hindi nag iisip ng tama. Madali lang itong naiwasan ng babae, nginisihan pa ako.

"Aw, lover boy."

"You bitch!"
