Hudson's POV

I sat in my office unable to concentrate, my mind was playing its usual tricks with me.

But I couldn’t stop thinking about that night, about her!

'Who was she?' I asked myself.

I had slept so long and so peaceful. I can't remember what that felt like. I suffered a terrible Insomnia for as long as I can remember.

And the pills weren't helping.

My mind went over to last night.

I couldn't sleep and I was getting restless, so I called Jack.

"Hey buddy, do you want to go out for some drinks?"

"Isn't it late to go out now?" Jack asked quite surprised.

I could understand his shock.

I rarely go out, and now I was suggesting it!

"I know but I need a few drinks in my system, maybe it will help me sleep", I answered.

"Oh, I see", he said. "Pick me up in five, I know a good spot".

I drove to Jack's apartment, picked him up and he gave directions to a cozy downtown bar.

From the environment, I was already going to regret letting Jack pick the bar, but when I stepped inside, I was amazed.

It wasn't fancy or high class but it was soothing and not crowded at all. I relaxed.

We took our seats on the table at the far end of the bar facing the door and Jack ordered our drinks.

We talked about work and Jack was getting bored, so he excused himself the moment he saw a girl that caught his attention.

I rolled my eyes at him, he was really a flirt, could never hold his pants up.

After a few minutes Jack left, the door opened and a lady walked in. I don’t know what it was about her that caught my eye but I couldn’t stop staring.

She was wearing Jeans and a shirt, her hair was long. She wasn't a high class beauty but she stood out.

She seemed to notice me staring and she got nervous, gulping down the drinks faster than necessary and at that rate she would get drunk by the third glass.

I instinctively moved myself to stop her not even realizing what I was doing. She could see me as a pervert but I was already at her table before I could stop myself.

“Hey, you should stop drinking; it’s clear you can’t handle alcohol,” I said, with a voice sterner than I meant it to be.

She just looked at me and shrugged, bringing the glass to her lips again for another sip.

The urge for control in me drove me to take the drink from her, leading to a bit of a struggle.

The whiskey splashed all over our clothes.

"Damn it!!" I muttered.

She looked angry but beautiful. I spanked myself inside for thinking that. Next thing she was trying to take off her shirt in the middle of the bar!

'Oh great! She is drunk already' I thought.

I lifted her onto my shoulders and carried her out before she causes me more embarrassment

She was kicking and struggling, but the questions she was asking seems like she was in danger.

I suddenly felt a strong urge to protect her and I don't even know who she!

Her voice was getting louder and annoying.

"You're too loud for a lady", I blurted out.

"What?!"

"Who wouldn’t be loud when they are being kidnapped?" She fired back.

I was amused.

We got to the restroom and I put her down.

"Clean up, I will be outside" I said.

I turned to leave but she swayed and almost fell, luckily I caught her in time.

Being this close I took in her features. Her eyes were drawing me in. She was appealing, too attractive and fragile. I gulped.

Trying so hard to be a gentleman but she seemed to be enjoying herself.

I steadied her on her feet and made to escape this temptation but she pulled me back.

Took of her shirt and stretched it towards me. Her words were lost to me as I was fixed on her bare body.

The next thing I knew we were kissing. Hot, passionate kiss and fondling. Was it the drinks? I couldn't tell.

I carried her to the room I booked for her when I noticed she was going to be wasted.

It was a steamy section. I blushed as I thought about it, but frowned almost immediately as I remembered that she was gone by morning.

I had woken up by 7:15 this morning, a very rare occurrence. I stretched hoping to touch someone beside me.

But the bed was empty. I jerked up, wide awake, scanning the room in search of her, but she was gone, leaving only a note that proved I didn't sleep with a ghost.

I looked around again, that's when I noticed the sheets, there was blood on the sheets!!

"Damn it!!! Who in the world is still a virgin!!!" I almost screamed.

There was a knock on my door, jolting me out of my trance.

"Come in" I urged whoever it was.

Jack stepped into the office.

"What happened buddy, you disappeared?" He said as he made his way to the office sofa.

"I disappeared? You left me sitting all alone at the table, just to satisfy your insatiable hunger for women".

"You know me man, I can't resist those creatures. But I came back and you were gone. Where did you go?"

I froze, knowing that Jack was going to tease me endlessly if he knew I was with a woman. And worse, she disappeared on me.

But if I want to find her he was the only one who could help.

"I met someone at the bar", I mumbled.

"You what?!!" Jack screamed with excitement.

"Keep it down Jack, this is an office", I scolded him.

"I need the details", he said, enjoying himself.

I recounted the events of the previous night to him and how I slept soundly after. He was as shocked as I was.

"The only thing I can link with her is some stupid note she left on the table", I said.

Jack looked amused, "what did the note say?"

“THIS WAS A MISTAKE, PLEASE FORGET ABOUT IT AS WE MIGHT NOT MEET AGAIN.” I read the note out to him.

Jack laughed.

"What’s funny?" I asked.

"I can't believe a woman would ditch you!!! The almighty Hudson! Or that you'd be interested!"

"That’s beside the point"

"What’s the catch then?"

"She did what the doctors couldn't, she made me sleep!!"

Jack was quiet.

"We need to find her and fast, she has some explaining to do", I added with a cold voice.
