Chapter fourteen

Damon was still a hot topic the next day, not as trendy as he was the first day, but still enough to be talked about. The trolls were still rolling in, and they were not relenting or even trying to.

Tapping his pen rhythmically on the table, Damon sighed as he glanced at the clock again. He remembered telling her 11 am, but it was almost half an hour later, and she still had not shown up.

Perhaps she had changed her mind and taken her bastard child somewhere else. Damon had made his lawyer draw up an official agreement, one that would protect him, his assets, and his company.

What happened with Ava would not be happening again.

His doorbell rang, drawing him out of his train of thought, Damon hated how stressed this issue was making him, and he could not wait to be done with it all.
