Yes Father I canceled the wedding because am not interested in it anymore. I deserve better than Leo please understand.”. Arielle pleaded

“ That is impossible. You aren’t going anywhere Arielle you will have to stay back and have the wedding and that is final.”. Mr. Kim concluded and sat on his bed.

Arielle knew her father so well and knows what he was capable of. This wedding meant a lot to him.

She stood up without uttering any word to him went to her room and packed some of her belongings. She had some amount of money with her hurriedly she booked the morning flight to leave town without the concern of her Father.

She needed a new environment to make her forget everything she has gone through. Leaving her father won’t be easy for him but she had to move on in life and forget about whatever that has happened.

The next morning when Mr. Kim was enjoying his sleep he heard his phone rang he answered

“Im sorry Sir but Arielle cancelled the wedding.”.the wedding planner said .

“What?”. Mr. Kim realized what Arielle was saying was not a joke she meant every word she said last night.

“I will get back to you let this be between us for now till am done with everything.”. Mr. Kim said 

“ Okay Sir.”.the wedding planner responded.

Mr. Kim stood up from his bed and shouted Arielle’s name. Senam came out and asked what the problem was.

“Call me Arielle now.”. Mr. Kim instructed.

“Okay.” She replied yawning.

Senam walked to her room and knocked but there was no answer she became furious and at the verge of anger she said

“Look am not calling you for anything I don’t really have the time to do that. Is your Father who has asked me to call you for him so if you want to come fine if not I will just go and tell him you said you are not coming.”.

The quiet atmosphere around Arielle’s room was strange.

“ has she committed suicide?” she thought

 Senam opened the door to see what has happened but to her surprise there was no one in the room. 

“ Arielle,. Arielle.” She began to look around the room from her washroom to the locker but there was no trace of her.

Senam found out some of her clothes were missing she ram to her father who was waiting patiently for Arielle angrily.

“Father! She is not in her room.” Senam said panting heavily.

“ What do you mean she is not in her room? Have you checked downstairs for her ,?” Mr. Kim asked angrily.

“ Yes father am sure she has left the house because I saw some of her clothes were not in her locker.” Senam said.

“Arielle…….!!!!” Mr. Kim shouted he

In the plane, Arielle couldn’t stop thinking of how her life is doomed. The face and image of the rapist couldn’t stop displaying in her mind. 

How can she lose something she has been keeping for years to some drug dealer who has no future plans. 

Thinking about this made her shed tears on the plane she saw a hand stretch forth a tissue 

“Don’t cry Miss, you will be fine.”.said one kid

Arielle smiled and replied

“thank you kid .” 

Arielle took the tissue and wiped her tears.

Mr. Kim was wandering around his room in anger. He called the airport to find out if Arielle has been there and he was informed yes.

Arielle really broke her father’s heart and love for her.

She landed at her destination and thought of calling his Father to apologize for this humiliation act.

“hello father…”

“Why did you call me? You cancelled the wedding and left without the concern of anyone. I can see you have grown wings and cam love your life without me then so be it.”. Mr. Kim said

“Father I can explain, the wedddding…..” before Arielle could say anything her father Mr. Kim hanged up.

She managed to get a place for herself.

Senam called to inform Leo about what has happened in the house. Leo never bothered and wished the best for her wherever she has gone to.

Spending quality time with Senam without the presence of Arielle was the most important thing to him.

Senam came back to her father and asked 

“Father, I want you to calm down. I don’t know why Arielle had to left just like that when she is fully aware there is going to be a wedding between her and Leo very soon.

Im sure she did this just to tarnish the image of the family.” 

“Yes you are right. Arielle is nothing but a disappointment to this family and there is no relationship between us anymore.” . Mr . Kim concluded and left to the washroom.

He was heartbroken and couldn’t believe her favorite daughter disrespected her.

In the streets of another man’s land, Arielle was trying to find her way through.

It’s been months since she left and the life of staying without a mom or a Dad wasn’t so easy for her.

There was no call from her dad or step sister not to talk of Leo.

“Why do I feel feverish and weak?” she asked in her thoughts.

This was a new thing to her.

She was not a type that gets sick often.

She began to throw up anything she takes in.

Things were getting out of hands when she decided to visit the hospital.

She met the doctor and narrated to him how she has been feeling.

The Dr ran out some checkups to conclude at the right and final decision.

Arielle was waiting patiently for the Dr reports.

“ Congratulations Miss Arielle.” The Dr. stretched forth his hand and gave her the results of the check up.

She was quiet surprise when the Dr. congratulated her.

As she go through the result, she couldn’t stand on her feet.

The Dr. hurriedly carried her and placed her on the hospital bed which was in his office. 

He gave her some injections and left her to sleepy for a while.

The world was indeed coming to an end for Arielle.

Few minutes later she was up crying so bitterly.

How could she be pregnant when she was raped once.

This was the end of her life. How was she going to explain things to her family back home.

“How are you feeling Miss?” the Dr.asked when he realized Arielle was awake.

“Dr..are you sure there is not mistake here? I’m sure my results has been replaced I can’t be pregnant…. With who?”. Arielle lamented.

“ Im really sorry but this is your results you are 3 months pregnant.”. the Dr informed her.

Arielle was dumbfounded she took her bag and left the hospital. 

She knew her father was not going to forgive her if he finds out about her condition and people will begin to conclude she cancelled the wedding because of this.

Abortion was the only option left for her but she ignored that idea because she was scared to lose her life alongside.

Six months later Arielle felt a sharp pain in her abdomen. This was strange she thought. 

Suddenly she felt hot liquid in between her legs

“ Is time…” she murmured.

She struggled to get to the hospital on time to save herself and the baby.

Few minutes later she got to the hospital in tears. She was helped by the people the driver who brought her to the hospital.

Arielle couldn’t bear the pain she was going to do anything possible to save the life of her baby.

The nurses and doctor attended to her and took her to the labor ward.

Arielle was trying so hard to deliver but things weren’t easy with her. 

The doctor was scared to lose her as a results of stress during her pregnancy period.

“Push harder…” the Dr advised.

Arielle tried everything possible to save her baby but her strength wasn’t allowing her.

She was breathless and has exhausted her strength.

The Dr quickly instructed the nurses to get him the oxygen.

“,You need to save yourself and the child with one more push Arielle just one hard one and we are good to go.”. the Dr tried to encourage her.

Arielle was convinced by the Doctor’s word’s she tried one last push to save her child and her life and there she heard the sound of a baby….

“Hurry fix the oxygen on her before we loosse her.”.

Arielle went unconscious after she delivered her baby. She woke up some minutes later and saw her baby laying in a cot right beside her 

“Welcome to my world.” Said Arielle to the baby.

The doctor walked in and saw Arielle starring at her baby..

“Congratulations Arielle. You did so well and the baby is as handsome as his Father I guess.”.the doctor said with a smirk.

Arielle faked a smile back as she weeps bitterly in her heart.

“His Father.! No he has no father. I am his mother and a father to him at the same time.”. Arielle said in her thoughts.

Arielle knew her father was not in good relationship with her after she cancelled the wedding. 

Four years later, Arielle was in the kitchen when she heard her son call

“ Mom, Mom,” Arielle ran out to see what the problem was she saw him holding the phone

“You have a call mom.” The child said and handed the phone to his mother.

“ Hello…” said Arielle to the caller

“Arielle….. you have a child?......”
