EPISODE 3: THE NEW STUDENT

It's some minutes, almost midnight, and Ava still doesn't want to go home. Dad will soon be back home, and he'll freak out when he checks up on us and we aren't at home.

"Ava! Let's go".

I pulled my sister by the hand as she was about to publicly make out with some boy who happened not to be her boyfriend.

"Ada! Stop". She removes her hand and refrains from walking with her legs.

"Please, Ava, we need to go home.".

I pleaded with my sister, but she had other plans. By going back to the same boy, I stopped her from kissing.

Dad will soon be back, and if he doesn't see any of us home, we'd definitely be in huge trouble.

"Ada, we should go.".

Susa suggested it to me, and since she was ready to head home, I left Ava at the party and went with her.

Nanny still hadn't slept when I came.

"Where's Ava?". She questioned her whereabouts and where else she should be aside from the party.

"She's still at the party." I replied to her.

"At the party? Why didn't you bring her home?". She goes on to yell.

"I'm sorry, I tried, but Ava doesn't want to go." I went into the kitchen and returned, holding a plate and a water bottle. I feel a little bit hazy, and it should be from the alcoholic drink Daniel gave to Susa and myself.

"Goodnight, nanny, and don't worry about Ava; Dad should take care of this."

I kissed her on the cheeks and retired to bed.

The following morning, I could hear Ava and my dad screaming at the top of their lungs.

If dad's yelling, it should mean he knows what happened last night...

"I'm sorry, dad, but you cannot stop me!!".

Ava angrily yelled at her dad when he threatened to ground her. .

"Really! You are so getting punished, young lady."

Dad reinforced by sending in some men, and they grabbed Ava after she successfully made them run awhile before catching her.

Ava's taken to the time-out room; she should stay there until dad knows the specific punishment for his eighteen yet rebellious child...

I was watching in the corner when my dad came back after locking Ava up and noticed me.

"Ada! Did you see all that?".

He extended his hand and pulled me in for a tight and fearsome hug.

"Daddy, I'm really sorry about Ava; can't you at least forgive her?". I ask him, indirectly seeking forgiveness on my sister's behalf. .

"No, Ava needs to be punished. I have been lenient enough with her; she's literally getting out of hand."

Dad walks to his chair and requests breakfast.

I sat next to him, but my mind was wrapped around how Ava should be feeling now.She should hate her dad so much for locking her up in the bathroom, but he is only doing this for her own good. .

"Good morning, Ava.". I smiled and said, "I brought breakfast for you.". I took the tray in and kept it on the table.

"Ada, please get out and take this with you."

Angry Ava points at the food on the tray and asks me to leave.

"I'm sorry, but dad forbade me from leaving until you had something to eat.".

I stood my ground and refused to talk, taking a step back to the door.

"Really? Fine!".

Ava grabs the food along with the tray.

I was thinking she had finally gotten over her anger, but she carried the tray and tossed everything, including the delicious cake bread nanny prepared with so much love out the window.

"Happy! I'm done eating; now get out!"

She threw the tray on the ground and watched me pick it up. .

"Fine! Jesus, you're so annoying.".

I angrily expressed my discontent with her sassy behavior. .

"I'm sorry, what did you say to me?".

She grabs my hand and forces me back to my eyes.

"What did you say to me?". She asks me again, her hand squeezing my wrist.

"What? Didn't you hear me well enough?" I shoved her hand and said, "I called you annoying and am definitely going to add a bitch as well!!" ..

Ava raised her hand to hit me when Dad arrived right on the spot and stopped her.

"Don't you dare!" He said..

"Dad! She called me a bitch; shouldn't you punish her as well?". Ava shifted the entire blame on me, forgetting that hers is way more abominable.

Dad pulled me to stand at his back as he confronted my sister.

"I won't punish Ada; do you want to know why?". She looks at me and then again at my sister.

"W....why?". Ava shakily asked.

"Because she's more mature than you and understands what family is.". Dad paused; he grabbed me by the other hand and pulled me out from hiding at his back. "Ava and Ada," he paused, and then continued afterward: "Tonight, we will set the record straight; who is going to become the chosen one, and anyone who becomes the chosen one, the other has to accept it and support her sister, do you understand?".

Dad looks at Ava and says, "Yes, sir.". She teethed..

"Yes, daddy". He turned to me, and I answered.

I went away with Dad; he has to take me away because I wouldn't want to be the reason why I get upset once more because of my sister.

I love Ava, but sometimes she can be a pain in my behind.

I changed for the academy, and since Ava was still serving her punishment, Dad asked me to leave without her.

"Whoa! What's happening?".

I could barely fit in the hallways because of the crowds of students prancing back and forth.

"Good morning,!". Susa helps me find a more quiet and less crowded place, the library.

"So, why's everyone busy? Did something happen, or worse, did someone die?" . .

I question Susa, giving her two options to choose from.

"Nah!" She laughed. "We are getting a new student, and everyone is preparing to welcome him." She makes it a specific gender.

"Oh? It's a boy!?". I asked in a high pitch, and Susa nodded back and forth.
