EPISODE 4: A ROOM FULL OF SUGGESTIONS

We are gathered at the assembly hall.

Susa and I are snuggled in with ten girls at the front chairs, leading to the door.

Mr. Jacob opened the doors, and a handsome male student followed him from behind.

"Damn! His hot".

The girl sitting next to me compliments the new student, and everyone agrees.

I do find the new student attractive, and there may be a little bit of competition between him and David.

"Good morning, class, and welcome to another beautiful day at the academy.".

Mr. Jacob spoke through the microphone.

"This is Mr. Elijah Raven Wood, and he is our new student. I believe everyone will welcome him with open arms and show him the ropes.".

He continues, and by the ropes, he means, we should give a grand tour to the handsome-handsome-looking students; the entire girls are beginning to droll.

"Who's going to be!?".

An open question to the entire school.

And like I had presumed, half of the girls raised their hands, and out of the many girls to get chosen, Mr. Jacob announced my name.

"Miss Ada, would you like to do the honors?".

He tossed an open invitation, which I would likely have to decline; however, by doing that, Susa would likely never talk to me again.

"Yes, Mr. Jacob." I agree, taking my bag up and going to the podium. I stood in front of the entire school, and 99 percent of the girls had such deadly eyes on me.

I never wanted to host Elijah; I'm technically being forced to do it.

Assembly is over, and Elijah and I walked to the admission office to get his schedule for the semester.

"Good morning, Mrs. Smith... You're looking beautiful as always.".

I complimented her, and that was the only reason she'd be less emotional about her failing marriage and more attentive to our new student.

"Ada, what do you want?". She asked, taking off her hand from her face.

"Schedule, please". I pull away, and she scans Elijah with her eyes. She does this strange thing by glaring at new students with her eyes.

It only happens that she might be a half witch and half werewolf, or maybe the rumors aren't true.

She handed over the schedule to Elijah and sent us out of her office. It's definitely obvious she was going to go back to thinking about her life.

"Good morning, I'm Susa.".

My best friend caught us leaving the admission office, and she introduced herself to the new student.

"Nice to meet you; I'm Elijah." He extended his hand, and they both exchanged pleasantries.

Elijah went on ahead, allowing us to talk as we walked at his back.

"Shouldn't you be in class?" I whispered softly to her,I don't want our new student to heed our conversation.

"I know, but I want to see you and our new student.?". She screeched excitedly.

"Hmm, you're so crazy." I said that as a complement.

Since Susa refused to go back to class, we both gave Elijah a tour of the entire academy.

He was more or less impressed; however, I can't tell because of the mild expression on his face.

"So, I should leave you now; I've got class to attend.".

I stopped him at his visionary classes; Susa was also there.

"Thanks, Ada," he grinned. "I'll see you after class.". It was more of a question than a response.

"Yes, of course.". I grabbed the hand of my friend and dragged her along with me.

She wouldn't want to leave if I hadn't dragged her to go with me.

We arrived at class together. Everyone is trying out their new G****e for the experiment our lovely Mrs. Nora will show us.

"I hate magic." Susa complains like she always does.

"I'm sorry, but a few of us might have witch blood in us." I clarified this to my best friend while going toward the lab coat for the two-hour class.

"Fuck! Someone should literally kill me now."

She said it rhetorically.

Mrs. Nora's class is supposed to prepare us for battles; just in case we were attacked on the way, we should be able to defend ourselves, and what happens if the attackers happen to be hunters?

I have learned that werewolves have a strong hatred against hunters, and this hatred has been around since I was even born.

"Okay! Who are our enemies?".

Mrs. Nora throws an open question to the class.

We all knew the question, but no one felt the need to stand up from their chair to answer.

"Susa? Do you know?".

She rephrased and made the question more specific.

"Oh! The hunters?". She stands up from her chair and answers the question.

"Good, and what do we do to them?". She asks another question.

"Erm... Kill?". Susa thought hard before responding. .

"Exactly. Kill and never befriend a hunter.". She looks at the entire class and asks, "Do you know why?". She directs the question more openly this time: "Because they're evil and cannot be trusted... Wouldn't you agree, Ada?".

She makes a pause on my face.

Thanks to her, I had to recall the last conversation I had with Dad, when he told me how my mom died. She was killed by the hunters and sacrificed her lives for both Ava and me.

"Very correct, ma'am." I replied, faintly smiling at her. .

After a tortured hour of learning about hunters and how evil they are, the class was finally over, and Susa reminded me of our meeting with Elijah. She includes herself, even though Elijah specifically invited me.

"Hey Ada".

Elijah brings over his chair and sits on the same table as Susa and myself. .

"Hey, how was class?". I became inviting despite his rude intrusion.

"Good; very good," he says, pleased by the outcome.

"Aww! I'm glad". Susa ropes herself in and loads in right after with her thousand and one questions about him.

"So tell us, are you single? Do you have a mate?".

Out of all the questions to ask, my best friend chose to start with the more obvious one.

"Nah! I'm very single and not yet mated to anyone." Elijah laughed while he set the record straight.
