Kyra stared ahead, unblinking and unseeing. She had been forced into a sitting position earlier today because according to the doctor, leaving her to lay on her back until anytime she decides to break out of the shock could cause her problems in the future.

She slept for eight days and some hours, that’s what Anton told her when he entered the room a few days ago to deliver the blow of her miscarriage that sent her into this state of nothingness that she was now caught up in.

After her cries ceased, she had been mute, and nothing anyone did or said could make her speak. According to the doctor, she had gone into a state of shock. This was her own way of coping with what had happened.

Kyra could hear them, but even when she tried to move, to speak, her body refused to cooperate with her.
