Kyra’s loud screams of terror woke Anton who was sleeping peacefully beside her, his heart almost stopped beating at the sight of blood everywhere on the bed. He was out of the bed and rushing to command the guards at her door to get him the pack’s doctor before he returned back to Kyra.

Anton's hands were shaking as he reached to hug her to him hoping to remove her from the middle of the blood, but her screams increased the moment he tried to move her close to his body. He let go of her immediately. He could not fully grasp what was going on, but he knew that her baby was at risk with the amount of blood that had flowed out of her onto the bed.

Even though he could not breathe a sigh or relief just yet, Anton was grateful when the doctor arrived a few minutes after he sent the guards to call him.
