CHAPTER 35

Zach, with a splitting headache, groaned as he opened his eyes, holding his head rolled onto his back and stared up at the ceiling, wondering how he ended there. All he could recall was that he went with Alex and Damon to Boulder Coast.

“I want to sit at the front,” he insisted firmly when Alex was opening the door. He gave her a dull look as he placed a hand on top of the door and got inside the passenger seat. “Thanks for opening, Walters.”

“Piss off,” she cursed as she slammed the door and finally got inside the car, situating herself behind Damon. She put her shades on. “I’m all set.”

Damon then droves off towards the beach, starting a general conversation to which Alex would reply from time to time. By the time he parked at the beach parking lot, the sun was already high up.

“Just right on time for lunch,” Damon commented as he opened the door for Alex. He raised his phone to her. &ldq
