Chapter 45 - Angel POV

I got up early the next morning so I wouldn't miss the opportunity to thank Klaus for what he'd done for me and the gifts he'd given me, but once again, I didn't see him. He left with some warriors to help gather the fruit from a small pack.

I had never noticed how busy Klaus was or how responsible he was. I spent another day without seeing him or knowing when he would return.

That night, I lay down and fell asleep easily. My heart was light, but once again, in the middle of the night, there was a knock on my door. I flew to open it, but no one was there again. A third bag was leaning against the doorframe, and I picked it up, anxious to find out what it would be like this time.

“Even if I search the whole world for a love like the one I feel for you, I will never find it. You are the missing half of my heart. I love you, Klaus.”

With a smile, I took the package and opened it. It was a photo album with a cover full of hearts. It contained pictures of me and Klaus from when I was born
