Elijah's movements stopped as soon as he heard her. He heard her loud and clear and he couldn't believe that she would say something like that to him, so easily. It was harder than saying 'I love you'.
"What did you say?" He asked with his heart thudding inside his ribcage, waiting for her to answer him again.
"I said-..." Sarah was going to answer him when her phone rang, taking their attention to it. She looked at him confused before picking up the call. Her blood boiled as soon as she heard the other person talk. Her demeanor changed completely.
