"I want to know about your sister." Sarah said in a soft tone while looking deep into his eyes, letting him know that she didn't want to force him but it would make her happy if he shares his life with her a little bit. 

He didn't say anything. He just stood there lost with a blank look on his face. He looked so lost and broken that she felt her heart breaking as well. She could see a turmoil in his blank eyes and she immediately wanted it to stop, hence she quickly cupped his face in her warm hands and made him look at her. She looked at him with a lot of warmth, care and love as she looked him in the eyes. 

"It's okay, Elijah. You don't have to force yourself. Tell me only when you are ready and trust me enough with your life." She said in a soothing tone but he vigorously shook his head.
