Chapter 33: The Nymphs' Fall

"It's not the time to rest yet."

A stern voice cut through the sullen silence like a sharp blade. Mayari opened her eyes upon hearing the cold stone remark, and immediately shifted her gaze from the leafless branch of the dead tree, that painted the gray sky, to the figure standing just a feet away.

Her back is facing Mayari and her crimson dress softly waved to her side as the wind gently blew the red fabric. A few loose strands of her moonlit hair also swayed back and forth from the wind, while her deep ruby irises is glued to the lifeless lake ahead.

"Go back." She bluntly said, "Who knows what will happen to you if it stayed in this vulnerable state for too long."

By this time, Mayari's stood up and started approaching her subconscious self. Her subconscious heard her incoming footsteps, along with the crisp noises of dead grasses being step upon.

Sorry that I haven't been updating for the last 2 weeks, I have been caught up by my study and I couldn't easily write a new chapter. Even though I will not update regularly, I assure you that I'm not gonna leave this story of mine without an ending, so keep on reading. Enjoy~
