Maylee’s POVMy alarm goes off signaling the start of the day. I snooze the alarm and the 5:00 am flashes my phone and I simply lay in my small bed thinking of what the day holds. I have an Anatomy test today, we have models with pins stuck in them indicating what we have to identify. I wouldn’t be too bad except we have to spell them all correctly. So, that is stressful; I have work at the diner tonight and my mom is working at the boutique. It is going to be a long day; my alarm goes off for the second time and I drag myself out of the bed and head into the closet, changing into my workout clothes, grabbing my only pair of running shoes and headphones. I start off most of the week days with a run, usually just a mile or two. Dean’s POV ( for just a little bit) I was in the middle of an alpha meeting with the council announcing to them the change in my current situation. I had found my mate. Being that I am the head of the council, making this known as soon as possible was a priority because preparations had to be made to accept the shift in duties. If Maylee accepts her role in my world she will be my equal and her role vital to our existence. The council governs over all werewolves around the world. I also wanted to get advice on how I should explain our world to her. Though Ares can smell the werewolf gene in her blood she seems completely unaware of supernatural existence. “Men and Women of the council, I have joyous news to share. I have found my goddess blessing, my mate and hopefully future Luna.” The council applause and cheers erupt around the table.

Maylee’s POVI dream that I am floating through the air, comfort and ease surrounds me and I sway softly through the brisk night air. I start to wake up, but I do not want to lose this feeling so I force myself to stay in the dream world for a little while longer. My dream turns quickly into a mix of memories and nightmare. I am sitting on my mom’s lap. I feel small inside her arms, she is crying, staring into my eyes; she is so sad, all I want to do is take away her sadness. My dream warps andI feel a bit older and my hair is longer. We are now at the park, my happy park, where the slide is so high I can see everything in my little world.
