“Miss, do you need anything or I should…”

“Don't worry about that, I'm waiting for someone”. Mia cuts the waiter off before he can complete his statement.

She glanced at wrist watch for a moment before taking a deep breath. “Please Zane”. She whispered silently.

Even after Zane suggested that they shouldn't see anymore, Mia found it very hard to stop calling or texting him. She wanted to hear more from him.

Zane couldn't just end their friendship so quickly. She thought something made him do so, something he never wanted her to know about.

After a few minutes, she picked up her phone and dialed Zane's number a second time but still, he never answered.

Mai covered her face with her palms and lowered her head to the floor. It's been six hours now and Zane hasn't come to see her.

In no time, she felt a tear drop down from her eyes. And she wiped them off instantly.

Mia's gaze remained on the floor and she couldn't bear it anymore, everything Zane had put her through,
