“You called for me Dad”. Talia uttered as she sat on a sofa, next to her mom.

Mr Raymond cleared his throat for a while before he began to speak. “Your mom and I had decided to get you engaged with Jackson. Your marriage will be held in a few weeks from now”.

Talia arched her brows, surprised by her father's words. She stood to her feet instantly and drew closer to him.

She remained speechless for a while and when she finally found her voice, she pleaded with her dad. “Dad, please I'm in love with someone else”. She replied, her words dripping with desperation.

“Please give me some time to bring him here to meet you and mother. He's a good person, and will prove worthy of your approval, I promise.”

Mr Raymond squeezed his hands tightly with hers and smiled at her warmly. “You know we love you too much Natalia, and we can't have you leaving us once more. Besides, it’s time you take your rightful position as the CEO of the company”.

Talia, hearing these words, released her hands fro
