Bryan banged the door tightly, leaving Chlor staring at him in disbelief

“Aren’t you going to give me my book?” She proclaimed her voice laced with frustration her hand pressed against her hips.

Bryan refused to reply to her, he turned to leave his long strides eating up the distance, Chloe ran behind him, her short legs working harder to keep up the race with Bryan.

Chloe tried to stop Bryan but she was too scared to do so, she only walked beside him their footsteps echoed through the passage, a stark constraint on the silence between them.

Chloe’s eyes fixed on Bryan her gaze pleading with him but Bryan wasn’t looking at her side.

When they got to the open passage that led to the store, Bryan stopped walking and turned to Chloe, his eyes narrowed, his jaw set. "Go join your mate," he said curtly, his voice low and even.
