Chapter 38

RUNE POV

It was another week and another morning. A day to be busy when I got out of bed and rushed to the bathroom after catching sight of the time on the large wall clock. Thankfully, there was no appointment in particular, or else I would be late according to what the time was.

“Good morning, Alpha Rune,” workers who I walked past, tendered their pleasantries. All I did was wave at them, leading my way to the sparring area for my rehearsal, but not yet - after surveying what the men were doing with the task Father gave to them.

“How's it going? Good morning, all.”

I waved back after their greeting. “How's it going with the wall increment?” Walking to the other end to take a look at myself, I still asked the question before walking back to the spot where a few men were. “It's going well, I can see for myself. Well done.”

Back at the sparring area, I had a match with one of the men who happened to be my partner. It wasn't a good fight and the fault was mine.
