Her parents were in panic and so was I. Bailey had been gone for almost three days. The last time I saw her was after that passionate kiss we shared at her house when she made me breakfast to apologize. I had been a fool. I should have checked up on her. I let my guard down. I was too trusting. What if she lied to me? What if she actually did elope? I felt my fear turn to anger, just thinking about her possible betrayal. We searched the entire neighborhood and forests that were within our territory. Wolves knew better than to go beyond the boundary. It was dangerous. My anger burned out and was replaced again by fear. What if she was hurt or killed?
