A WOLF'S PAST

MIDDAY, WESTERN SHORES OF THE VALED SEA, BEACHES OF VAMPARIA.

Lucian and the rest of the Dire Wolves trudged inland carefully to avoid tripping on any more mines,

The recent loss of a fellow Werewolf to the fiery brutality of a landmine weighed heavy on their wolven hearts as they kept treading silently across the beach, inching ever closer to the dreaded forest known as Widow's Woods.

Lucian looked behind him and saw other Werewolves,

their assorted dark and deep brown furs glistening under the hot afternoon sun smiting the land brutally, as the wind blowing from the sea blew sand and dirt into their faces but they were Direwolves in appearance but Werewolves at heart,

hardened descendants of Lycan The Fanged and their footsteps across the sun blighted sands were steady.

"Remus" Lucian called to the lead Dire Wolf, breaking the silence as they trudged on to Widow's Woods.
