The Mystery Solved

It had been a couple of days since Albus began to stay over in the Hermit Pack. In these past couple of days, the gypsy had been checking up on Maddie, asking questions about her condition, as well as asked her parents details about both the Wolf Swap Rite and if either Maddie or Ellie had seemed off during the process in any way. Why that guy asked about how they were doing the rite- when they clearly did it as instructed- was beyond Steve's reasoning. However, he did not like how close that man had been acting towards Maddie.

Not to say he had been getting jealous of Albus, but these days, seeing the guy spend so much time with Maddie really irked Steve. Even more so with Maddie had clearly been enjoying the outsider's company even more than she did with Steve! More than when they were together before this whole mess began! Almost as though she was mated with- not her assigned Beta- but with this... This highly suspicious non-wolf creature!
