The Unwanted Meeting

Ellie was dashing along in the woods, jumping over logs and boulders in her regained wolf form. Words could never begin to describe how happy she was to run on all fours at high speed, feeling the wind blow against her fur, especially as she jumped the long distance. She knew she would've been happier to run in this form again after so long, but to actually experience it? Ellie was ecstatic.

'I'm tempted to take a nice, long detour, if it means enjoying this feeling a little longer,' she thought.

'That happy to run as a wolf again, aren't we?' Eliza spoke.

'Like you wouldn't believe. I missed this so much. I can't wait for lunch to come. I hope I can find some nice squirrels around these parts.'

She could hear her wolf hold back a chuckle at her words, almost as though agreeing with her. ‘Still, as much as I don’t want to bring down this happy mood of yours, you still need to remember our priority mission. Finding our way home.’
