CHAPTER 2
“Alex! Alex! Wake up it is almost noon already,” Nelson my beta and best-friend said shaking me roughly.
“What?” I asked coldly opening my eyes.
“I was just waking you up bro, it is already late and we have the council meeting by 2,” he said raising his hand in defeat
“Shit! How could I forget about that,” I said almost jumping from the bed.
“What’s the time? I’ll be ready in thirty minutes,” I said while rushing into the bathroom.
“Well, that was fun to watch,” Nelson said smirking as he left my room to prepare for the meeting.
“Alpha, we haven’t received any threats in the past four months,” one of the council members said.
“That’s good. Maya how is the pack training going,” I asked my gamma next in command after nelson.
“It is going great although we are supposed to have a tournament with Venus pack and I don’t think the youths are ready.”
“Why?” I asked in frustration
“Because they aren’t good in archery; they’ve been trying to learn it for weeks but I think it is impossible. Is there any way we could move the tournament forward.”
“I’ll look into that,” I replied.
“Have any of your heard anything from the witches,” I asked my council members and all of them kept quiet suddenly.
“Why alpha? is there something wrong?” The oldest member of my pack asked with fear in his eyes.
“No, I just want to fortify our barriers,” I replied and all the council members nodded in agreement.
I knew everyone bought what I said apart from Maya and Nelson with the looks they were giving each other they knew something was up.
“This council meeting is adjourned, Maya and Nelson stay back,” I said commanding everyone to leave.
“Spill what’s up?” Maya asked as soon as all the members of the council left.
“I need to find a witch?” I answered.
“Why? You know witches are hard to find except they want to be found,” Nelson said.
“I want to confirm so serious matters,” I said seriously.
“But, what do you want to confirm?” Maya asked concerned.
“I need more insight on the prophecy,” I stated.
“What prophecy?” Nelson asked.
“The prophecy about the wolf with black fur and blue eyes,” I responded.
Maya and Nelson looked at each other and burst out in laughter
“You mean the folktale that is told to pups to make them scared so they won’t go round the barriers?” Maya asked with a hint of smile on her face.
“Except it isn’t a folktale,” I said seriously.
“What do you mean?” Nelson asked.
“Based on the discussion I had with my father yesterday, it is an actual prophecy that was said by a witch 500 years ago and it was only shared and taken seriously among the alpha and the luna of every pack while they made everyone believe it was a folktale that they shouldn’t be scared of.” I shared with them.
“If what you are saying is true, shouldn’t the prophecy be happening right now? Or it ought to have happened already,” Nelson said
“Yes, because you have a completely black fur and blue eyes,” Maya continued.
“That is what my father said, he told me that when I was born, they waited to see if the prophecy will come true and since, thirty years have passed and there have been nothing going on and no sign of war, other alpha’s have relaxed or now think that the witch that said the prophecy was just joking with them. But he still believes that it is true and it will come to pass one day, and he doesn’t want us to be part of the casualties of the war or lose our land because we didn’t prepare that is why we having been training for years and now he wants me to marry the daughter of the alpha of blood moon pack.” I explained to them.
“But she is not your mate,” Maya said with wide eyes.
“I already explained that to him”
“If you get married to her, don’t you think it will weaken our pack because she isn’t your true mate and mate bonds are very important for alphas because it makes them stronger and unleashes their true power,” Nelson said
“I know, that is why I told him that he should give me two years and if I don’t find my mate, I will marry Analise,” I replied.
“You did what?” Nelson and Maya chorused making me chuckle.
“I said that to give me more time to find my mate,” I shrugged.
“What if you don’t find your mate after two years?” Nelson asked.
“I will find her!”
“Okay then, so now why do you want to find a witch?” Maya asked.
“Because I have questions, and I want to ask about my mate. I saw her last night in my dream”
“You mean you dreamt about her?” Nelson asked
“I saw her, I feel the prophecy is not complete and I need to find a witch to tell me the full prophecy or at least give me guidance.” I responded.
“Okay, I’ll ask king fae because they are closer to the witches and he will help me get information on the witches whereabout,” Nelson said.
“Alright,” I said.
“Alex, I got a lead that Nirvina the witch is in Rome Italy,” Nelson said.
“Alright let’s go there to meet her, get the private jet ready,” I said standing up from my office chair carefully arranging the papers on the desk.
The flight to Rome was quiet and filled with anticipation of what the witch will say.
“I thought you said Nirvina is here?” I said furiously after searching Rome for the past two days.
“Yes, she was supposed to be here, I told you witches can only be found when they want to be found or they can gain something from you,” Nelson said
“Do you think we should put out a bait for her?” I asked Nelson
“I don’t know witches are too smart to fall for baits but we could try?” Nelson said.
“You see I told you witches don’t fall for baits, it been five days now and still no sign of her. Let’s just give up and go back to our pack.” Nelson said.
“Okay Nirvina I give up I just wanted to ask you about the prophecy, I’d give you anything you want,” I said smirking looking at Nelson knowing I have baited Nirvina.
“Okay what do you want to know about the prophecy,” Nirvina said as she appeared.
“I told you bait,” I said winking at Nelson.
Nirvina rolled her eyes.
“What do you want for helping me out,” I asked Nirvina.
“I want to be able to stay in your pack anytime I wish,” Nirvina said smirking.
Nelson was shaking his head to say he doesn’t agree but I already responded
“Done.”
“Thank you, now what do you want to know about the Prophecy?” Nirvina said.
“My father said I am key part of the prophecy but I don’t think that is all,” I said
Nirvina laughed.
“Wise child, they may have been told the prophecy but they weren’t told the full thing.”
“Okay, tell me the full thing,” I said.
“I will but you haven’t given me anything that will make me talk,” Nirvana said.
“I will give you all the precious crystals I can find, now talk.” I said while Nirvana smiled.
“Okay the prophecy said that a great war will ensue when the black fur with blue eyes arises but what the prophecy actually said was “darkness will fill the land, darkness from black fur with blue eyes. A great war will begin but only the moon goddess’s descendant can end the war for good with the help of the dark fur with blue eyes.” Nirvina said.
“I don’t understand, do you mean I will cause the war?” I asked.
“To answer that I’ll need another gift, but this one you can’t provide. Bye,” Nirvina said laughing as she disappeared.
What did that even mean, I came here for answers now I am filled with more questions than ever.
CHAPTER 3“What did she mean by “darkness will fill the land, darkness from black fur with blue eyes. A great war will begin but only the moon goddess’s descendant can end the war for good with the help of the dark fur with blue eyes.” Maya asked for the tenth time after I and Nelson explained what Nirvina said.“I don’t know,” I said with a frustrated groan.“I don’t even know what to think anymore, are we not supposed to be moon goddess’s descendants because we have rare powers? Could that mean that the person that will end the war with you is in our pack? But then how could you harness darkness and still end the war. It is not even adding up.” Nelson said looking as frustrated as I am.“I think we need to speak to your father since he is the one that gave you the prophecy, don’t you think he will probably know more?” Maya asked.“I think that is what we should do, I’ll call him to ask if he is busy,” I said picking up my phone to call my father.“I think she is referring to your ma
CHAPTER 4“I don’t understand so she confirmed that your mate was probably around you may have greeted are her parents?” Nelson asked to be sure.“Yes, I think Nirvina meant something like that.”“I need information on every alpha and luna that attended the ball,” I said to nelson.“Alright I’ll do that in the meantime try to get some rest you look like shit.”“Shut up,” I said as he left my room.“A year has passed and we’ve been looking for your mate but there is not progress, at this point, I don’t even think she is around this region or on earth,” Maya said with a frustrated sigh.“I’ve got to find her she keeps appearing in my dreams more frequently now,” I said dragging my hand through my hair.“How do we even know it her, for all I know it could be some witch playing with your mind because you have never seen her face. The dream always ends when she is about to transform. Don’t you think there is something suspicious about that?” Nelson asked.“I don’t know, I don’t want to thi
CHAPTER 5“Who I choose to be my luna is none of your business,” I said with a blank face as I stood up and left my office.“Father, I have agreed to marry Analise,” I told my father.“Really, this is good news. I always knew you would make the right decision. I am very sure alpha Chance will be so happy,” my father said so excitedly.“Father can Analise stay here until our engagement? So, she will get to know our pack and pack members.” I asked my father hoping he would agree, so Analise will stay in my pack and her father won’t hurt her anymore.“You are so smitten by her, you just met her and you want her to stay, I’ll tell her father then; I know my friend will agree.”“Alright thanks, father;” I said walking out of his office.“Alpha the beta has been waiting for you in your office, he wants to talk to you.” One of the guards told me as I walked to the east wing of the pack house where my office is.“Okay, I’ll meet with him now,” I said walking into my office.“Alex, thank the g
CHAPTER 6“Mate,” I said looking at her completely enthralled by her beauty.“Alex, Alex,” Analise said fearfully holding my hand trying bring my attention back her but I was far gone looking at my beautiful mate.“Elosie? your mate?” the luna of moon crest pack asked confused and shocked.“But she is underaged she can’t feel any mate bond!” her father the alpha of moon crest pack said and that brought me back to reality as I just realized the gravity of what he said.I felt as if someone poured a bucket of cold water on my body.“She is underaged?” I asked again to be sure of what the alpha said.“Yes, she is, and you are already getting engaged to Analise.” Alpha max said.“What are we going to do?” Dax my wolf asked in a fearful tone. Claiming her right now as my mate will cause problems for us later because she isn’t ready and I will become weaker, everybody in the pack will become weaker and wolves despise that. She is also not ready to become a luna and I know I have been sea
CHAPTER 7Alex’s POV“Alex, you have to reject her,” my father said.“No father, I cannot and will not reject her,” I replied him furiously.“I don’t care what you think or feel you have to reject her you will make our pack weak,” my father shouted.“How will I make the pack weak when I am with my mate, instead I will make the pack weak if I reject my mate.” I shouted back.“Alex for the love of the goddess you have to reject her, she is nothing like us,” my father said sounding tired.“What do you mean?” I asked.“Did she sense you? Did she sense that you were her mate?” My father asked.“No, she didn’t but how does that mean she is nothing like us?” I replied. “I don’t want to speak on the matter all I know is that you will reject her,” my father said walking out on me.Analise POV“Father, he will reject me, he will break the bond the engagement already formed, I already love him,” I said to my father crying.“Don’t worry he won’t reject you. I already did my research on that girl
CHAPTER 8“Where am I?” I asked as I opened my eyes.“You fainted, you are in the hospital,” my father said. Then it all came back to me, “why didn’t you tell me?” I asked with tears in my eyes.“We wanted to tell you but, we didn’t want to lose you my dear child,” my mother said crying.“The moon goddess had to tell me herself,” I said crying.“What?” My parents asked shocked.“Yes, she told me herself,” I replied with tears still in my eyes.“That was probably a dream and how sure are you that was the moon goddess, my dear please don’t bring a curse upon yourself by lying about the moon goddess,” my father said sternly as he took all matters about the moon goddess seriously.“No father, it wasn’t just a dream the moon goddess appeared to me,” I argued.“Don’t say that dear, that is blasphemy,” my father scolded.“Calm down honey, don’t shout at my baby, she just fainted,” my mother said trying to calm my father down.“Am I truly an omega?” I asked with tears in my eyes.“No, no baby
CHAPTER 9Marcel’s POV“Are you sure Analise is going to be there?” I asked again to make sure that my mate will go to Brighton’s pack party.I have been trying to meet her so she can sense that I am her mate. She wants to get married to my life long enemy, alpha Alexander. I felt our mate connection ten years ago when I first met her, but she couldn’t feel it because she was fifteen years old. I had business to take care of but I promised myself I will come back to get my mate. I got back few weeks ago to learn she was already betrothed to Alexander alpha of moonlight pack. I have been watching her since and I have been sending Alexander subtle warnings and now that his mate showed up, I thought he will break up the engagement with my mate but turns out his mate is still too young to be mated; everyone thinks he will reject her and get married to Analise, my mate.“Yes, Analise is going to be there, she is close friends with the Alpha of Brighton pack.” Donald my beta said.“Okay, I’
CHAPTER 10Alex’s POVThere have been a lot going on lately with my mate, the rogues that attacked the pack, the goons that attacked my men, a visit from Nirvina telling me that the war is near, and my father’s constant counselling and persuasion to marry Analise. I really just want to relax, so I called my buddies, Nelson and Maya to come with me to the bar to unwind.“Hi handsome,” one bimbo said to me seductively as we entered the bar.“Do you work here?” I asked ignoring the flirtatious look and unnecessarily loud unreal voice.“Yes handsome, what do you need?” she said flirtatiously again. I wanted to ask her if the VIP room was ready but I was already disgusted so I kept quiet.“Please stop that, you sound like a dying horse,” Maya said making Nelson to burst out in laughter. The lady looked embarrassed then furious but she couldn’t do anything because I could see the fear in her eyes. We proceeded to the VIP section of the bar. “Our usual please,” I said to the bar man as I re
