Chapter 44.

The sun had risen above the mountains and it was time for people to go on about their daily business. Several people had woken up earlier than the sun but I was still in bed. And from the looks of it, the moon would rise before me.

I opened and stared at Hannah with blurry vision. I sat up and stretched my tired arm.

“I was afraid you were going to sleep the whole day through,” Hannah said with a smile on her face.

I turned to my side and looked out the window. It was quite sunny today, not quite, it was really sunny today. Today’s temperature was heated like the palace was set on fire. What do I expect from a Wednesday afternoon?

“Are you alright?” Hannah quizzed as she place her hand on my forehead, trying to check my temperature.

“You’re simply wasting your time. My forehead is warm, so is yours. It’s a sunny day,” I said as I gently rose up from the bed.

“I wasn’t checking for a fever or anything. I was checking if you were alright or not. I mean, who sleeps till noon?”
