CHAPTER 73

TEDROS

Pacing back and forth, I waited for the doctor to come out and tell me how she was doing. I was fully clothed, and both Mom and Belle were seated and waiting.

It had been two hours since I brought her to the hospital. The rogues had been successfully chased off, and all of the dead wolves had been cleared away.

She had been injured so badly, and I wondered how she was coping with the pain. She wouldn’t be able to heal for at least two days.

How did she get to such a state?

It was terrible seeing her like that. It hadn’t been a day since she got her first injury, and now she was injured again. I wondered why she hadn’t shifted and fought against the wolves.

Then, what Mom said about her losing her wolf three years ago flashed in my head. She didn’t have a wolf, which was why she was so badly injured.

I had seen the dead wolves in the house, and she took them down all by herself and got injured so badly. If I had known there was a rogue attack, I wouldn’t have brought her here.
