1 - Fake Contract Mate

"This is your sixth rejection! And the tenth time your wedding mate failed! Look at this mess! Just how much do you want to humiliate me in front of other Alpha packs!?"

My father slapped me in front of my wedding guests. To be precise, my canceled wedding. That sentence was thrown at me after my Alpha mate rejected me, and chose to run away with another Omega right on this day, our wedding day.

My name is Lizzbeth Aquamarine, 25 y.o., the only daughter of Alpha Aquamarine’s pack leader. Our pack was the richest colony in the entire Celestite land. But after falling into poverty, our pack was banished and ostracised to a village far from the capital.

And it was for the reason that all of my Alpha mates had rejected me.

"Listen to me, Omega bastard," my father whispered cruelly, to me still in my wedding dress. "I've had enough of all your rejections. I can’t endure any embarrassment in front of the other packs again, so I've prepared a replacement Alpha bride for you."

My mouth dropped open, how could he choose my mate just like that without my knowledge? "Wh-what? What do you mean, father? Who is the Alpha that will be my groom?"

Before receiving an answer, my father had already left me and climbed onto the podium.

He immediately announced something in front of all the Alpha packs present. Not long after, the wedding hall was visited by a group of Alpha packs with several wolves following them.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please meet the Alpha who will be the new leader of our colony, Katthias von Hilbert!" my father cheered, which was immediately accompanied by much applause. "He will also be my daughter's groom today!"

"W-wait!" I shrieked. My heart skipped a beat as soon as I heard Alpha's name mentioned.

"Katthias von Hilbert ... I kind of know that name," I muttered, trying to remember.

And my memory was instantly interrupted not because of my incompetence, but because of the presence of the Alpha in the Tuxedo who was walking towards me.

I felt like I woke up from my dream when I saw Alpha's face wearing a black Tuxedo.

That Alpha, the Alpha my father said would be my groom's replacement, was the Alpha I had rejected years ago!

"My honoured guests. From now on, Katthias von Hilbert will officially be the leader of our pack. He is the new Alpha King of the Celestite land. And this marriage will bind our two packs together and form a new alliance!" my father said in front of everyone.

'The new Alpha King? No way! The Helbert I know is just a poor slave Alpha and that's why I rejected him to be my mate!' my shocked mind was half dead.

In the blink of an eye, this deserted wedding hall became festive. I could only stand stiffly like a living corpse as I was dragged forcibly by the servants to approach my groom.

Of course, I refused very firmly. How could I marry the Alpha I had rejected years ago? Everyone wouldn't believe me if I told them how horrible he was!

"Lizzbeth!" my father snapped at me when he realized I was rebelling. He then pulled my arm so hard that I almost fell and slapped me in front of everyone.

"Don't you dare mess up this wedding, or I'll kick you out of my pack," he threatened seriously. "You should be grateful Hilbert is willing to be your Mate. He's even willing to become the leader of this ruined pack of ours! This is all for the sake of restoring our glory!"

"But, Father, you don't understand!" I argued. "He's the Alpha who-"

"ENOUGH!" my father snapped at me with great force. "DON'T EMBARRASS ME ANYMORE WITH THAT FOOLISHNESS OF YOURS!"

His hand was already raised and ready to slap me, if not for another hand to prevent it. Hilbert arrived and immediately stopped my father's violence.

With a smile, he pulled me into his arms and hugged my waist intimately in front of the guests. How fake. The real Hilbert would never touch me like this.

He was a possessive Alpha who made me disgusted to be his mate. His fake smile made me sick.

"Father, please don't be so hard on Lizzbeth," he said softly, with full falseness "Let's finish this marriage and then talk about our pack."

"You're right," my father immediately agreed just like that. It was as if he listened to his words more than me. "I'm sorry. Let's start this wedding ceremony."

My father immediately led me up the aisle. This wedding ceremony, which had failed, was instantly restored thanks to Hilbert's presence as the groom. However, this was not what I wanted!

Even though I had been rejected many times by my Alpha mate, that didn't mean I wanted to marry him!

"Katthias von Hilbert, are you ready to dedicate your life as Alpha mate to Lizzbeth Aquamarine?" said an elder of our colony with his holy book.

"I am ready," he pledged firmly.

And now, it was my turn. It felt so heavy to make the sacred vows with the Alpha I hadn't seen in years. But the thought of being expelled from my pack scared me more. The choice was no longer in my favor.

"I am ready," I said, reciting the sacred vows.

"Alright, you are now welcome to kiss. Groom, please bite your mate's neck as a mark. After that, in the name of the Holy Gods you are officially fated mates for life," said the elder.

The guests cheered with delight at our sacred vows.

My father forced me to kiss Hilbert and even threatened me. I felt like running away and entering the pit of hell rather than kissing this Alpha that I hated so much.

Hilbert swiftly pulled my body up, touching my nape in the perfect position for a kiss. I forcefully closed my eyes to accept his kiss, but all I heard was a sarcastic laugh from him.

"Stupid Omega," he sneered in a mocking tone. "How does it feel to be sold by your father to the Alpha you rejected?"

"Wh-what do you mean? My father wouldn't sell me!" I whispered in disbelief.

Then furtively, he took out a piece of paper that had been signed by both him and my father. She forced me to look at it

"Look," he pointed. "You were sold by your father to be my contract mate. I bought you for one billion gold coins."

I shook my head in disbelief at what I had just seen.

"What your father knows, you sold to be my mate. But do you think I want to mate with you? Omega who rejected me? As if. You must atone for your sins by becoming my pack's slave if you don't want me to destroy your small pack," he said while mocking me

"Y-you!" I growled speechlessly. "So this is how you avenge me? You've gone too far! My pack has nothing to do with our relationship!"

"Shut up!" he snapped harshly. "Close your eyes. I have to kiss you so everyone believes in this fake marriage. And you, don't you dare reveal this secret, especially in front of your father. Got it?"
