Chapter Three

CHAPTER THREE

We rode the van and load up our luggages at the back. The silence takes over the vehicle as we started to move. I observe the place, there i saw Hannah eating some chips and a beverage. Jonathan was clicking on his phone, Mariel was doing make-up and Achilles was on his headphones.

Boss Jan was just silent and trying to sleep. I stared at him, he was not bossy after all when he's sleeping. 

"Just take a picture of me while i'm sleeping rather than staring at me. It's annoying." Boss Jan suddenly spoke. My eyes widened. Did he really notice that?! Ashamed, i looked at the window. It's a really late ride. Who did even think of taking a ride at night? Such an idiot. 

I can't sleep because i already slept for about 6 hours in day. Am i an owl? Sheesh, why do i even think this? 

"You want some?" Hannah suddenly offered her Lays chips. "No thanks, i'm still full." I refused. "Okay." She answered. 

Despite of sleeping for 6 hours, i still feel the laziness and drowsiness inside me. I don't know why, is it because of the atmosphere between us or it's just me? With the crazy thoughts, i decided to sleep. 

Afterward, i can feel that someone was tapping my shoulder that made me awake. 

"Hmm?" I suddenly muttered. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Jonathan tapping my shoulder. "We're here, Felicity." He said. 

Waking up my sense, i slowly strech my arms and yawn. "Tsh, a lazy woman," Boss Jan said. I just glared at him then he smirked, "We're now here at Mt. Evergloom, remember that we came here for documentary and not on a vacation. Understand?" 

"Yes, Boss Jan." They simultaneously said. Of course, i didn't join. It's just a waste of-- "Understand, Miss Sy?" Jan called out. "Y-Yes, Boss Jan." 

Damn it! Again? This night has the worst embarrasing moments of mine! 

"Okay now, grab your luggages or should i say camping bags. Make sure that you brought tents for our hiking, and some snacks too," He declared. "Because it's a three day hiking. Grab your suits now and let's get going." 

All of us, except Boss Jan takes our luggages out of the van and tuck in on our backs. I grab one of my chocolate bars and eat it. Well, i'm hungry you know? 

In the morning,

We started to make our way towards the Mt. Evergloom and started our hiking. I have been into different mountains because i love hiking that's why i tried to join this hiking campaign and fortunately, i was recruited. 

While we are making our way up to a rock, Mariel suddenly degged at a pointed stone which made her knee bleed. 

"Mariel, are you alright?!" I asked and made a way towards her. I immediatly grab my first aid kit to pinhold the blood from her knee. "Yeah, i'm fine. I-It's a little twinging because the s-stone was sharp." She worriedly said.

"Okay, now hold a little bit. I'm gonna put some bandage around your knee," I hurriedly grab my backpack and opened it, taking the bandage i was keeping every hiking. 

I put it on her knee and skirred it all over the bleeding part. I stand up and pack my things back. 

"Thanks, Felicity." Mariel thanked. I nodded. 

When i look forward, i saw them staring at me with a questioning look. "What?" I asked them. They all blink and scratch their napes. "Okay, let's just continue walking. Don't be rush because Mariel can't walk properly." Jan suddenly said.

I nodded and went off. We all started walking again. 

After 3 hours of walking, we decided to take a rest first and eat lunch. Guess that Jonathan has his own mashed potatoes with carrots and peas? My eyebrows lift. 

I remembered that i brought a lighter, i gather some dried leaves and woods to make a fire for cooking some food. Boss Jan brought cooler with a whole piece of frozen chicken that's not cold anymore because of the heat. I cleaned the chicken first with some water then pierced it with a clean thin bamboo. 

I started to fire the woods and make a mini-handle for the chicken to be roasted. After 30 minutes, the chicken was roasted. "Alright, here's some roasted chicken for everyone." i declared. There i saw Boss Jan smiled—for the first time. "Well, you're really a hiker Felicity, such a great lady!" Hannah said, i guess it was a compliment? 

"No worries, i've got some scout things haha." i joked. They smiled and started to get their piece. Boss Jan is just staring at me, so i did get a piece of chicken for him and offered.

"Here you go, Boss Jan." i said and handed him the chicken, he smirked. "Well, this is not a thank you but…" he stopped and pinched my cheeks. I was shocked, knowing that the other members saw me and him. 

"Why did you do that?!" I annoyingly asked. He smirked then bite, "I don't talk when my mouth is full." 

"B-But you talked! Why did you do that?!" I

mouthed him. He smirked once again that made me irritable so i gave him a big heavy foot step on his right foot, and i covered his mouth saying, "You don't talk when your mouth is full, right?" then i smiled, knowing that i made him feel annoyed. 

Good thing that the others are busy eating and they didn't see us annoying each other. I get back on the place i fired then get my own piece and eat it happily. After a few more minutes, we're all ready for walking. 

"Your chicken is mouth-watering, Felicity!" Jonathan compliment. "Thank you." I answered then smiled. We started to walk and i'm still helping Mariel to walk because she's still in pain.

While on the other hand, i know that Boss Jan is still annoyed by me. Haha, good for him
