Ezequiel was back before dinner. While having dinner they all were quiet except Kate and Hazel chatting all along. Alicia was unusually quiet with an injured nose with a piece of bandage pasted on it.
Even Noah could not hold it when she told him about the happenings of the garden. He had brought her here to deviate Ezequiel’s undivided attention from Hazel but she was proving to be a disappointment now.
William eyed Ezequiel with astonishment, “How come you are here tonight? It always used to be a two days trip.”
Ezequiel cleared his throat, “Needed to meet someone at night.” Avoiding everyone’s eyes, he was looking at the food as if it was the most important and prettiest thing in the room.
“Someone at night?” Liam shrugged with his lips curved down. “Must be a lucky fellow!”
