Mia’s POV

“No… no, let go of me!” I screamed in terror.

“Say it! Where did you go? Who is he?” he demanded through gritted teeth.

“I just went for a walk and got lost, that’s why I came back late... There was no other man—AHHH!”

Draven grabbed my collar and yanked it hard, tearing my shirt in half. I panicked, trying to cover myself, but he seized my hands.

He leaned in close to my neck, taking a deep breath, and his grip on my hands tightened.

“Still lying? I can smell another man’s scent on you!” he said darkly.

My heart skipped a beat.

It must be the scent Osborn left when he lent me his jacket.

“Remember now?” Draven growled. “Did you forget about the contract? No one else but me! Have you considered the consequences of breaking the contract?!”
