Chapter 14: Help her become Luna

Mia’s POV

My heart was pounding so hard it felt like it might burst out of my chest.

I asked my father where my mom was before, but he always yelled at me and kicked me away, saying she was long dead.

But I knew she wasn’t dead, just somewhere else.

I really wanted to see her again and ask her why she left me.

“You… you know where my mom is?” I asked, breathing hard. “Where is she?!”

My father gave me a cold look. “Help Veronica become Luna, and I’ll tell you.”

I was breathing heavily, my mind in chaos.

Of course, I didn’t want to help Veronica, but if my mom’s whereabouts were on the line, I’d make that deal.

And if anyone could tell me about my mom, it had to be my father. Not even Alpha Draven could help me with this.

If Veronica became Luna, she wouldn’t stand me staying with Draven. But that didn’t matter. If I had news about my mom, I’d go find her.

But the problem was…

“How can you be so sure I can help Veronica?” I looked at my father, confused. “I don’t have that much influen
