Chapter 18: Defy him

Mia’s POV

I stared at them, feeling cold all over.

The woman sitting across from him must be Camille. She had to be special to Draven. I’d never seen him smile at any other woman like that, or hold any woman’s hand.

I wanted to see her face, but she had her back to me.

So, I tiptoed to a spot behind a utility pole, waiting for them to come out. That way, I could get a good look at her.

God, I felt like a stalker. But I was just too curious about her.

I waited for more than an hour, my feet going numb.

Finally, they got up, paid for the check, and left the fancy restaurant.
