Her Mother

Kelly woke up the next day with a piercing headache. Lucky for her, Alicia already knew she won’t have a good morning so she had a warm bath ready with some painkillers. She thanked her friend and closed the bathroom behind her.

For what seemed like an eternity, she emerged from the bathroom. Her eyes were bloody red. Alicia asked nothing and only pulled her into a hug.

These two were like the sisters they never thought they would find.

Alicia left, giving her the privacy she needed. As she dressed up, the owl stood at the window and started hitting it with its beak. Kelly felt her heart breaking. The owl and she always had the same plan for the day.

At a time like this, it will be informing her if she has understood her direction, she would confirm and it would fly away. But today was different. Today, Kelly wasn’t going to send it anywhere. She didn’t need to be told twice to know that Felicia meant what she said.
