Chapter 39

Signe POV

I look over at Asher, hopeful, but the look on his face instantly sends despair careening through me.

"Asher, I can't feel her. I can't sense her. I need to know. Please!" I beg him to tell me. I hope and pray to the Moon Goddess with every fiber of my being that I have not lost my best friend. My very essence of myself.

I rip the covers off of myself. If he isn't going to tell me, then fuck him. I'll go and find the doctor and I don't give a damn about any of this shit connected to me. Without my wolf, I am nothing. I start ripping cords off of me and Asher grabs my hands stopping me from doing anything else.

"Let go of me!" I yell at him. I'm desperate to get information on Aerona. I need to know what they know and not be kept in the dark.

"Please Asher! Please!" I beg him and break into sobs.

"Shhhh. Calm down, Signe. I was getting to it. I just have so much information to give you." He gets up and pulls me into his embrace again, stroking my hair in an attempt to sooth
