CHAPTER 5

JUSTINE'S POV

After that talk we just went back inside and found our parents watching a movie and we just joined them.

"It's pretty late, I should go." Joshua stood up and about to pack his things.

"Why don't you just sleep here? Don't worry you don't have to share room with Justine if you're not comfortable, we have guest room. But, I guess it's more fine if you two will sleep together and bond somehow?" my dad immediately asked as he straighten his back from the sofa where he was sitting next to Aunt Laura.

"Yeah, son, as you said it's pretty late. Why, do you still have some things to do?" Aunt Laura also ask.

I looked at Joshua but immediately looked away after he glance at me.

I just acted and grabbed my phone from my pocket and act like I was checking something on it.

"Ok, I'll stay." I secretly gulped at what he said. Though, you can sense calmness in his voice and aura.

"Great! So, where do you want to sleep?" my dad asked pertaining about my room or our guest room.

My heart beats fast as we were waiting for his response.

Please, say no or else I'll not sleep since I don't know if I can fall sleep knowing that you are right beside me!

"I think I'll use your guest room instead," he replied in a calm tone that made me feel relieved.

"Okay, I'll just prepare it a bit." I looked at them and dad nodded his head before leaving.

"I'll help him." Aunt Laura said and followed dad.

He just sat down again on the single sofa and I ended up cleaning instead.

The next day we just had some fun.

I can say that Joshua is just quiet but his awra is not so intimidating, or maybe his just controlling it since he was with us?

I can't tell who he is really him since it's our first meeting and these were just my assumptions and own judgments.

He barely talk yet you can tell that he don't like this or doesn't support the relationship of our parents.

I guess he lowkey support his mother to be happy.

I wonder what happened to his dad but I of course I don't have the gut and right to ask them so much personal information right now. But, I know that soonest I'll get to know them more and better.

I just went back to my apartment the next day since it's Monday and I have a class. Dad drive me first to my apartment early in the morning and also drive me to the university before he went to work.

I told him not to do so but he keep insisting and ended up letting him.

Luckily, I kept my cafe uniforms in my closet and dad did not dig up my things.

It's so fast that a week have been already passed.

Dad didn't asked me to come home again next Saturday since I was so busy and I'm doing a lot of projects and so Joshua according to Aunt Laura.

"Argh! Those freshmen are useless! They only have one job to do for me yet they still can't do it! Come on, it's been more than a week!" Ayen rant as she keep scrolling her phone and aggressively took a sip from her drinks because of frustration.

"Calm down, they're trying their best," I said and holding myself to laugh.

I just sighed and shook my head at disbelief.

"You more like doing that just merely for you, yes," I murmured.

She immediately looked at me and pouted.

Oh, she heard me.

I just chuckled.

"That Joshua! Also in person, why I can't find him? He was like can sense that someone might attack him and force him to be his girlfriend that's why it's so hard to find him! I've been everywhere where possibly he'll be yet, argh! This is so frustrating!" She turned off her phone and put it down above our table and covered her face using her two palms.

She brushes her hair using her right hand and put it on her chin and slumped on the table.

"Their prize is worth it though. Imagine, they will have the opportunity to chat me? They should do their best!" She then blew air.

"Why can't you just let him go? Find another crush or it's better for you to find a man. Find someone that can really treat you like what you deserve, you get me? I know you get my point," I said and smiled one sided.

She rolled her eyer first. "Bruh, who will have a crush on someone and that someone has also crush on you? Where's the thrill?! Find a crush that doesn't even know that you exist! That how it works!"

"Basically, you're saying have a crush on someone and don't let that someone crush you back?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Exactly! Finally, you got it!" She even snaps and claps.

I just shook my head. "Wow, I'm so blessed to have a crazy friend like you."

"Yes, that's right. Always be grateful that I'm part of your life," she response and did her signature poise- closing her eyes, a little view on the side and putting the tip of her tounge in her canine.

I get those freshmen why they can't easily get the socials of Joshua.

Can you imagine? He's already my stepbrother yet I don't know his socials and I don't even have any single contact or connection to him.

Well, I guess it's also my fault since I'm not asking him to, yet who am I to ask to? I don't have any right and reason I guess.

No, I can not tell Ayen about this.

I can not tell her that her crush that she's obsessing to is already my stepbrother.

I know that we should not keep secrets to each other but this is just so, you know?

Joshua asked me to and I just can't break that, knowing that he has a big name in our university.

I feel bad but I just can't really do anything about it.

Also, I still haven't yet seen Joshua around the university ever since, even though now that we were already know each other and somehow have a connection already.

After that talk, Ayen and I decided to went to my apartment and watch a movie which we did.

She went home by 6 pm and I even deliver her back to the university.

When I get back to my apartment, I just cleaned and rested but after a while, I just fell asleep.

I woke up because of my alarm and looked at my phone.

My eyes wide open after I saw what time is it already.

It's already 10:30 in the evening and in just 30 minutes, grae wolf will do a live!

Lucky me I didn't forgot to set this even Ayen was here earlier.

I opened my laptop and put it above my study table.

I went to the site of Grae and it's already starting to count down.

I just ready my tissue beside me.

"Hey, guys how are you doing?" Grae immediately asked as he showed up from the screen.

I didn't help it but to blush at what he looked right now.
